I liked Megatron questioning Prime on the indefinite (for now at least) detention of the 'Cons. Even slyly throwing the "freedom is the right..." catchphrase back at Prime.

That is very much Rooster Teeth in a nutshell (they ruined RWBY and Gen;LOCK by going down the same path). I could barely stomach the show either. Which is a shame since the toys are actually pretty decent.

As for Earthspark itself, it's a mixed bag all things considered. I like the art style and some of the character dynamics are interesting. But the humor is hit-or-miss (at best) and I have not been a huge fan of the kids or the Terrans so far. And I'm still not feeling Alan as Optimus even after 10 episodes, I think it's the voice more than anything that's getting to me. It's rather inconsistent.

I think they are going with the IDW slave Megs origin as well here and if so the "this is not freedom" line hits so much harder

I would love to see a earthspark Greatshot with a “g1” Sixshot origin.

You need pronouns whether you have gender or not. Many languages lack gendered pronouns, but the function of a pronoun is to make sure that you don't have to keep repeating the same name or noun incessantly when it's clear what you mean from context.

So that you can say: "Who did the laundry? I'm not sure it's completely clean. Did someone forget to put the soap in with it?"

Instead of: "Who did the laundry? I'm not sure the laundry is completely clean. Did someone forget to put the soap in with the laundry?"

Or: "Ravage Stanixa wrote that. You can tell because of all her unrestrained Soundwave thirst. She's always the first person to comment on anything disparaging people say about Soundwave."

Instead of: "Ravage Stanixa wrote that. You can tell because of all Ravage Stanixa's unrestrained Soundwave thirst. Ravage Stanixa is always the first person to comment on anything disparaging people say about Soundwave."

Pronouns do not exist solely because trans people exist.

You know, you don't have to come into every thread about something you don't like just to insult it and THEN to follow it up by insulting everyone else who does like it, along with everyone else who happens to like other things you don't like. Being unpleasant and judgemental is actually a choice and not an obligation.

That would make me very happy.

So far, this show is shaping up to be... actually good?

YES it has TF:A vibes. Specifically it feels like TF:A crossed with TF: Prime. So in other words arguably the two best Transformers cartoons ever. Also has some Cyberverse vibes, another solid show. And obviously we have the HUGE G1 shout outs. That was cool to see.

OBVIOUSLY there is more going on here to the backstory than what the dad is telling and my guess is that maybe Megatron's "change of heart" has a practical purpose. I'm calling it here that he only agreed to a truce to figure out a way to get back to Cybertron. (A major deviation seems to be that the Ark and Nemesis never actually crashed here... they CAME via Space Bridge. So with no way to return home or create new life on Earth, what was the point of continuing to fight, from Megatron's standpoint?)

    I'm here for it.

A little pathetic that something as minor and that lasted 1 second ruin a show for you.

I'm not trying to convince you have to like the decision but how could something that minor ruin a show that's not even about that character?
2018, and while great we still had a while where all the shows up until Cyberverse and now Earthspark where IMO the shows have been bad or not good like RID15, Machima Trilogy, and the WFC Trilogy.
It got really good, after S1 once we get to S2 it get better and better.
I loved that as well, loved everything about Megatron
Indeed and I loved it, kinda forgot with how little the character uses it that Skywarp could do that. So it was a surprise and they used it well.

See, I think Megatron’s change of heart is sincere, but the missing element that helps explain his reformation is Dorothy Malto, the show’s mother. They seem to have a genuine bond.

G1 cartoon Megatron viewed humans as lower life forms, pests beneath his consideration. In my head canon, this Megatron was that way, but he encountered Dorothy and had to spend a protracted amount of time with her. Perhaps she was taken hostage by the decepticons. Something about her surprised and impressed Megatron, making him see her, and by extension humans, in a new light.

And this is pure fan fiction, but perhaps someone, maybe starscream, injured her, causing her to lose her foot. It was an act of senseless cruelty, and it really made him question things. And in light of that, the destruction of the space bridge was almost a relief, giving him a. Opportunity to let go and start over

Aligned "continiuty" has been dead since Rescue Bots ended, not sure why would Hasbro revisit such a clusterfuck of a continuity considering what happened to Prime's production. I'm not even sure why you thought it was an Aligned continutation because if it was they would really market it as that.

Anyways I watchedthe first 2 epiosdes last night, and its not my cup of tea. Isn't toy shilly enough (not like the toys are worth shilling for anyway), and the designs look rancid; but the writing is actually pretty decent and isn't really annoying? The jokes are admittly hit or miss, but that can be chalked up to me not an 8 year old fortnite player.

Overall its alright. Doesn't hit the heights of JG1 BW comedy (the shows, not the weird ass Mainframe dub) or charaterizations (BWII has a agaonizingly forgettable plot but man the character writing shines pretty well) or the writing quality of TFA. Definitely more tolerable than cyberverse at least.

Really odd thing to note, when the kids touch the rock it reminded me of the protagonist shaking hands with Aogami and fusing into Nahobino.

My honest thoughts on Earthspark for now:
    - I don't like the designs of the characters except for Soundwave and Swindle.
    - Optimus and Megatron vs Female Seekers was great and very nicely done. I like how Skywarp's teleportation abilities were implemented in the show.
    - So far the show feels like a mix of TFP and TFA, which is a good thing.
    - Mandroid is a good villain so far, he looks really good too!

Now, I was really hard on the intial reveal for this series, having very low expectations for its eventual premiere. However... after giving the first 10 episodes a chance, I can safely say that I was pleasantly surprised!

EarthSpark is actually pretty good so far. It has its fair share of problems, sure, but makes up for most of them with its numerous strengths. A likeable cast, energetic vocal performances, creative spins on classic characters/concepts/dynamics, a fascinating lore, engaging fight coreography, and wonderful animation all help make EarthSpark the most impressive Transformers cartoon in years.

They haven't said they are, but they haven't said they aren't either. For now, Optimus' and Elita's relationship status in this show is yet to be determined, unknown.

While i had my doubts at first this show manage to blow some of my expectations. Bumblebee gets to be something more than just a marketable character, twitch and thrash are really unique, optimus and megs aren't just the same old schlock again, elita once again gets to be the coolest fembot in the show and hell the human characters arent as annoying or boring.
    P. S when is the ost gonna drop megatrons entrance theme was absolute fire also steve blum back as starscream? Thank primus hope he doesn't try to do the shrieking starscream voice and goes for a more tfp starscream.
