I dont care what car Breakdown is as long as he's white and goes on Menasor's leg. Its a shame he can only be hidden in the back but thats a moot point at this juncture.

Not sure where this opinion that being disappointed over the design choices is a bad thing.
Truthfully, I am probably not going to finish Menasor now. I have Motormaster, Dragstrip and the sub-par Wildrider. Dead-end doesn't look good to me, and Break-rider just isn't something I want to get due to the need I'll feel to "fix" what shouldn't have been broken.
Best for me to just bail now before spending another $50 on two figures I dislike and add to the negativity.

Yeah I mean for people that are this negative about Legacy Menasor that they're not going to finish the team, just stop buying and sell off what you have.

The figure is not bad by any means and I will be picking it up (though I mean, kind of have to at this point) but by god is it a piss-take given what we\'ve been getting so far in this modern era of figures (especially finding out it was almost a straight redeco entirely). Good to know the designers weren\'t lazy though and that it was corporate telling them \"you WILL do this THIS way\" but really there\'s still no excuse for Hasbro, they\'re a giant decades-old corporation who\'ve been doing this for a very long time, plan your budget better.

I do feel like priorities were a bit screwed with the new tooling, though. I feel as though a new hood or canopy is worth more than some robot-mode waist details and a cheap detachable spoiler.

....They're a decades old corporation because they plan their budgets better.

The guy crunching numbers isn't going "Hmmm Menasor yes okay let's make sure!" they're just like "Hey TF team you've got X dollars to invest in your designs this year have fun."

I mean seriously. Some of you guys think the number crunchers at Hasbro get that granular when they couldn't possibly know (or care) about the day-to-day individual character minutia of ever single brand under the umbrella.

All I'll say here is that I don't care about car models, im just peeved about having to buy the same toy twice to complete an otherwise really solid team. And it is reassuring to know the designers aren't happy about reuses either,

Dunno why people are all \"I might as well not finish Menasor\" when Breakdown goes to the BACK of the leg. He is not even visible in combined mode unless you turn the thing around. Yes, he is too obviously a remold of Wildrider in car mode, but most people will not display him in that form.
And anyway, here in Europe, Wave 3 is not even out yet. Those who want out only need to sell Dragstrip and Wildrider.

Some of us freaks like to display the teams as teams, so alt modes matter.

I respect that if this does truly bother you, then I respect that you aren’t going to finish the team and aren’t being negative and still buying them. At the end of the day buy what you like. I personally don’t agree and like all 5 but I also can appreciate someone who’s like, I’m not feeling this and moves on

That is appreciated, as we should all respect each other's preferences whether we agree or not. That would defeat so much of the negativity if everything isn't looked at as a personal insult.

I get how this is not the engineers fault. However, HasTak was so close to a homerun with these Stunticons. Their decision to reuse Wildrider\'s alt mode is like stopping at the last mile of a race and running backwards in the opposite direction.

Did it really save them that much money to reuse Wildrider\'s alt mode?

Toyhax or some other entity will surely fix break down. Be cool if dna did an upgrade to the stunticons too.

Exactly! This is the only reason why I would buy another set of Constructicons that are individually Deluxe scaled in bot-mode. As long as there's indidual quality in them that UW/CW Constructicons lacked.

Well...yes, it did. They did it because it saved them more money than they were comfortable spending. There's a reason every figure isn't a unique mold.

I am a firm believer he should have been his own mold, though. Seems like an odd missmatch when the set was going so well. Guess they decided to lead with the best and finish with a whimper.

Yeah hands up who thinks we could have done without Pointblank or Skullgrin in favour of a proper Breakdown.
But these things were so low effort as you can see by the entire lower half of dead end = they really need to stop gushing and either give them more budget or hire better designers.

Making obscure stuff is all well and good BUT NOT at the expense of ruining a combiner because they are cheap.

What is even worse is this woefully innadiquate toy is likely to get repainted in teal at some point too.

Hasbro please stop making crap over things people actually want. Heck Skullgrin is the perfect example of something that would have been best left being a scout as they half-arsed him as well.

I wish they'd stop making mediocre toys Legacy is so flipping mediocre (especially the deluxes) it's insulting to me.
I look at something made in 2009 or 2010 and it's so much better = toys should be better a decade ago that is silly.

Yup, and I'm glad I was only one bot in when it all went downhill with Motormaster.

I've been saying that for years now.

    Maybe one day it'll happen.

This BTS sounds like a retroactive expectation management or damage control to me. But maybe I'm just extra syndical and salty about the whole situation. :peoples:

*used to be* cheaper than most lego sets.

Get a lot more bang for your 25 dollars with a lego set than a single deluxe. Lots of good lego sets for under 30.

    Like, I'm excited for Skullgrin.

But of these new molds, boot one, do some other redeco, and give Breakdown his own fully new toy.
