The hd pics really add up to how insane and flawless the thing looks. Miles ahead of dlx Prime in terms of movie accuracy. If the production piece comes close to this prototype, it may become my favorite from the dlx line so far.

Why are you saying it like DLX Prime wasn't that accurate?

 

This figure is awesome! I really hope they will make the other Megatron from the other movies.

 

Preferably TLK or DOTM Megs.  

 

It's not exactly news that Prime was compromised for the Jetfire combo. Besides the proportions, the fact that there are already several 3rd party upgrades speaks for itself. Head, feet, chest and smokestacks as far as I know. I owned it and while I liked the figure overall (especially the paint) I just couldn't unsee the all the other unjustified flaws so I ended up selling it.

 

To me DLX Prime looks like he walked straight off the screen. Amazingly well done. He's going to look awesome next to Megatron.

 

I did a video taking a look at the figure and giving my thoughts if anyone is interested! Of course the HD images came out today after my main bit of editing was done, but oh well.

But yeah these pics look fantastic! I'm very excited for this, just interested to see the price and get in a pre-order.

 

Agreed, cause those two are my favorite movie Megatron designs and if they did either of those I'd be in probably, especially if it's DOTM Megatron.

What about TLK Optimus? Idk, something seems a bit off on Megatron's crotch

I was expecting that

Optimus had inaccuracies on his neck area (more like top part of the torso, the exhausts are not right), his hood in the abdomen wasn't 100% accurate, his shoulder pads could be better and his feet were way too long.

Judging by the footage we have so far I think he looks fine. The only thing that drew my eye a bit was the chest gap but maybe it was just the angle / lighting.

 

Megatron looks perfect. Makes me all the more excited for Shockwave and Lockdown.

 

That looks worse, IMO. Quite happy to leave my Optimus stock-standard.

 

What about it looks worse? It's far more accurate than the stock DLX Prime. Granted I like DLX Prime as is, but it does have its issues with movie accuracy.

 

Illogical. It looks fine.

 

Everybody is allowed to have their own opinion. Doesn't make it "illogical" at all.

 

But it is illogical to say it looks worse when the result of the upgrades makes it look more accurate.

 

Also I don't really see what's all that different between the two to make one look worse.

 

No it's not. Being movie accurate isn't everything to everyone. I care about what looks better to my eyes. And to my eyes stock Prime looks better.
