Every time I see that design I can’t help but imagine:

The lazy transformation isn't the problem. It's the end result. All three of those transform into staging areas for other figures. C Metroplex transforms into a white lump with treads and a digger arm, with largely no staging areas whatsoever. Like I said, we will just have to see where this goes over the course of the holidays. But I still think Hasbro could have done MORE to intice kids to want this figure, even if it increased the cost of the Titan Class. And there's evidence they wanted to do more but put on the brakes in the design (feet stairs, knee tunnels, a cockpit) because he's not too bad to get fan modes out of. He just needed a little more to get over that hump.

Anyway, I've already stated my case in past posts. I'm not going to relitigate my position again.

I mean, this is probably a close estimation of how they'll do Superion. (And I'll totally buy that, too.)

Yes yes I know I know you haven't put the goalposts down since you started on this tangent weeks ago.

I have *zero* attachment to this Plex but it's getting to a point with the sale price that it's like LAWL WHY NOT!?

....and then I remember Omega Sentinel is looming and I'm backing Deathsaurus and it's like "Oh. Right."

Just opened this guy up, and he's huge and awesome, but holy cow those are some stiff ratchets, especially the shoulders.

Shame there aren't more 5mm ports and pegs. I might make my own.

I've got mine and love him. This is a toy laser-targeted at ME. I also think it's neat how they do the torso transformation different but still end up with basically the same result. He's a big, solid, no-nonsense dude who actually would make a great addition to your Cybertron collection let alone classics.

Honestly, the only thing I really wish he had was more interactivity points in alt mode. I don't need a full-on base mode, but more seats, manable turrets, compartments, consoles, minicon ports etc. Even if we get a core Drillbit, there still isn't a lot for him or any other bot to actually interact with. I also feel like they really should have put a cyber key slot on the axe. I don't need the actual axe-split/electronics gimmick (although it would have been nice), but just a simple spot to plug in a key at all like on Override would've been nice.

I fucking love how much fun this guy is to pose. He's just a giant action figure of a robot and has fantastic articulation for his size. A simply wonderful toy with bags of character and presence.

I had to return one because his ab crunch was so loose that he couldn't hold his axe at all.

I have a spare weapon from the original Cybertron Metroplex, I'm wondering what I can do with it vis-a-vis the Legacy figure. Ideas?

If you have Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime from the WFC trilogy, i would give it to him. Should size just right from when he used it in the show.

For those waiting, Metroplex is on sale at Target now for about $133 or less if you have RedCard.
