Great G1 movie references in this episode i look forward to seeing more Wreck - Gar in the future.

 

I am pretty sure that was Burton. From what I can tell, his credit has 3 names in it, the third barely readable but I believe it said Husband, but I could be mistaken. Since Shockwave did not appear, it is safe to say that he voiced Spike. Tara is credited as Wife so she is obviously Carly.

Easily one of my least favorite episodes so far. I guess there's no highbrow way to make a garbage truck into a new character, but this was just ridiculous.

Wreck-Gar just became Animated's version of Wheelie in terms of annoying-as-f*ck character imo.

 

Megatron's eye twitch was pure gold.

i am starting to see the same problems BW Megs had with BW Inferno as Ani Megs is starting to have with Ani Lugnut. Too much blind loyalty and faith is getting on their nerves

Sparkplug? Well Spike's father was recently killed by space barnacles.

This made me remember that back in G1 I always assumed Sparkplug was a casualty of the Autobot-Decepticon war.

 

Didn't he die of a heart attack in the marvel g1 comics?

 

I also think the animation was bad, and am in the minority as i did not like the episode or character. I think alot like it on pure nostalger, there was alot of things ment for us old timers, but no plot or anything, poor episode.

 

No, he had a heart attack in the early issues, but recovered. He lived on through the rest of the series.


lol @ Prime's trailer disapearing when he transformed at the beginning of the episode.  

 

I thought he had another later on, and died.

So I guess they just phased him out then.

I wonder if that will happen to sari, if animated goes on long enough.


Also, is it just me, or is the origin of Wreck-Gar's name completely random?

The angry archer just seems to pull it from nowhere.

Maybe the download I got missed a scene or two.

 

In the dreamwave comics he died in the explosion aboard the Ark II.

When AArcher asked Wreck-Gar who he was, He answers "Worthless-wreck-walking-pile-of-garbage" which is what the humans called him.
So AArcher picks Wreck-Gar for short  

Nobody has mentioned the scene with BB, Sari and Prowl:

*Optimus want's someone to help Ratchet with his people skills*

BB: "I pity the poor glitch that gets stuck with that assignment"

*Sari and BB laugh*

BB:"...He means us, doesn't he?"

Sari looks at Prowl: "What are YOU smiling at?"

Prowl: *Grins* "Apparently, there is ONE job less dignified then hauling trash"

  

 

I heard that, though I didn't make the connection.

wow the amount of G1 references in this episode! that was ridiculous! Best part was Wreck-Gar throwing his G1 self at BB!
