If only I had the patience for this sort of a model kit, this shockwave looks great.

Building this kit will be most logical.

I only wish their Prime would ship so I can decide if I want to build this frame twice.

Can’t wait, I have two in order. Getting to the point where I need a much larger display are for my Shockwaves.

Same here. Too much of a reshell of OP to warrant a pre-order. Need to build my OP before I decide if I should get Shockwave. I can live without this Shockwave though as I don't like the head sculpt. Rather, I wish Yolopark will announce Bumblebee, Soundwave or a concept Megatron to match OP. Those are the other ones I want most in this line.

Looks pretty good but I just can't get over how many Optimus parts got recycled into Shockwave. Yeah, I know it's accurate and I know it's because the studio decided to add the Cybertron scene late in production so they regulated assets as much as they could, but I still don't like it.

Just finished mine. I'm glad I did it but damn I am never putting myself through that again. Took a week and I ended up losing a piece (dropped under my desk and somehow completely dematerialized because it's nowhere to be found) and breaking two others (one of the spine pieces with pegs on either side just wouldn't peg in both sides at the same time and broke because I kept trying and one of the pistons sheared off when I tried rotating the ball joint in its socket). I love this figure now that it's done (will be ordering replacement parts but it's done for now) but I don't think I could ever stare down the barrel of a week long building project and actually force myself to go through with it now that I know what I'd be getting myself into.

Yolopark and wide birthing hips, name a better duo. Shame this kit also shares the abnormally wide hip issue that the Optimus Prime kit has. Thought maybe they would have done a better job in that area for this but I guess not.

Like others, I'll wait to see once I have OP is in hand before deciding to get Shockwave but those recent photos are doing this kit zero justice.

interesting, OP should have come with his own led module...but I guess later is better than never for this Shockwave to come with it.

I know this is a bit of a late reply, but the Optimus model doesn't have wide hips. It has two hip joints, one where the actual hip joint is for outward, and one for inward set right below in the thigh. That's why sometimes it looks like Prime has wider hips, but in their default position they line up directly with the CGI model. Shockwave, with the same frame, should be the same way. You can see in the photos on ShowZ that Shockwave's hips are fine and in line with the CGI model.

True, though it shouldn't really matter much with Shockwave cause his thighs are HUGE

Shockwave looks better without the armor. Never liked this design's proportion. Bought OP, but skipping Shockwave. Hoping the next one is Megatron even though Hasbro is not coming out with one.

if they add colour (silver) to inner chest it would add more depth
