If only I "refused to hear negatives". They are 2 toys being targetted at different demographics, with 1 presumably having less budget (could be wrong) and then completely different in terms of visual design. The flaws of this figure are very apparent and undeniable I just don't think someone like Hot Rod is very fair as a comparison. Tho tbh both being priced the same kinda invalidates what I said.

Nope, just find it hilarious and concerning that this is how low its gotten. And of course the amount of people that see no problem with that.

Ooooooh! Those hollow legs are hard to look at, I was hoping for some sort of panel to cover them up. I really love this design, and I’d like to have at least some representation of it in my collection, but not if it’s this for $25. Most of the Cyberverse Deluxes at least looked and felt like they were worth the price. Here’s hoping Megatron will be the dud in this line and the others are much better.

That's the point that is trying to be made. I don't think anybody disagrees that they're for different demographics. But rather that them being priced thr same makes zero sense.

Can still compare toys at a basic level regardless of demographic. Besides, idk why people are so hyper focused on the comparison with hotrod, PVP literally compares Cyberverse deluxes directly to him right after. You can’t argue those are a different demographic.

Looks like dollar store fodder being pushed at regular retail prices. Nothing to see, just Hasbro being Hasbro. Some flush money down toilets...others spend it on...well this...but at the end of the day, it will all end up in a landfill.

Right now the Warrior class Megatron is looking better. He has around the same amount of hollow parts and’s almost half the price of this Megatron. Plus, the Warrior version has a decent gimmick.

I didn't say anything about the Cyberverse deluxes because I had no intention of doing so. They were comparisons that needed to be made.

I guess I kind of misinterpreted things because again I did agree.

Honestly now I kinda see why. I mean I get they are perfectly comparable but I dunno it just didn't sit too right with me. Or maybe I just got annoyed by Hot Rod showing his face again and again. Or both. But legit never tried to argue otherwise about the actual quality of the figure and I do agree with its price being kinda dumb.

Disappointed to say the least. It's such a good design, and this is the best they could do? Hopefully they can give us a larger scaled figure with more detail and effort because this ain't it chief.

$24 dollars for this no, but I think the $19.99 that BBTS and probably retailers will sell it for is slighter better.

That being said Twitch is 100% to me at least, the winner of the wave.

Agreed, although personally 20 is still a little pricey for what we're getting imo. I do think twitch is the best looking though, articulation seems to be there.

    Why

Why does Meg's face looks like he has thing somewhere stuck on his bottom?

Or a face that has seen unexplainable things.

Also, this has the same price with SS Deluxe? wtf?

Yeah still maybe a little pricey but better. The only thing Twitch is missing really is it seems wrist rotation. Still the best of the wave and imo better than Megs and Bee.

Inflation is the same exact thing costing more over time. This thing would have been a hard sell as a $10 figure ten years ago. Put this $25 Megatron up against a $25 Thrilling 30 Voyager and there is no comparison. It shows how far the dollar has fallen, despite being up against global currencies during that time. If we were paying $25 for the quality of a ROTF deluxe that cost $10 at Walmart when it came out, then fine. At least that could be called simple inflation.

I also wonder how badly parts will yellow, considering the recent trend.

That's still one of the worst Megatron head designs ever.

Look im all for more Vtol/Jet/Commuter Plane? Megs. But that headsculpt doesn\'t work whatsoever. It\'s a shame the best figures based on new TV designs since RID2015 are at this pricepoint. Would love a CHUG-ified Animated Megs
