Use one of the siege battlemasters. They are easy to customize

Not a bad idea. Might have to pick one that simulates the missile launcher.

yeah, I mean, I am getting this because I'm a "modern pre-TF" mark at this point, but I REALLY wish it was the TR mold. It's so much better looking, the SS86 Perceptor mold is honestly one of the most disappointing figures I've gotten in the last couple years. I don't love the TR either, but at least the shoulder cannon is the right size and the ab tray isn't relegated to molded detail. and he's so under detailed.

FWIW the white parts on Firedrive take fabric dye amazingly well, so it's easy to do this:

Hey, that's not a bad idea... I have a bag of Battlemaster parts...

Hrm.. I don't know if I feel comfortable with that.. then again I never tried and don't know how.

Don't you just boil some water, add the dye and then dip the parts in for a few minutes each?

Sapphire. My first attempt. The longer you leave it in the HOT (not boiling) water the darker it gets. After checking the first 5 minutes I may have forgotten about it for a... pretty good amount of time. :redface2:

I just got magnificus in today and he’s great! I have never messed with this mold before and I see why people like it. He’s a great replamcemt for the KFC Micro Robo

Yup, I was on the fence for months about it myself (for Perceptor) and as he appeared to be a difficult one to find, I finally decided to get him when I saw him sitting there for a couple of weeks at a store.

The moment I had it in hand, I was glad that I had picked it up as between the design and the very different plastic used on him, he was much better than expected. His biggest flaw is the giant hole in his back but aside that he's a very decent figure and doesn't have that uber cartoonish aesthetic (that I don't like) as much as most of the others of the same line.

So I'm awaiting this black version with anticipation.
