Partially that I guess, but also partially just Amazon as a company. Like sure, Toys R Us as a corporation existed to generate profit and did exploit its workers, all companies do that, but it feels like everything Amazon does is to such a heightened degree that it puts it into this certain league of hyperbad, y'know?

 

It's like a redesigned Hero Prime, I don't think it will look right with the legs swiveled backwards since he already has feet. And the chest details don't look at all related to Hero Prime.

I mean, I think it would be an easy retool into hero Prime except I think they would have designed it that way from the start.

The chest has a weird bar running through it.

If they had managed to put ankle rockers on the truck parts I think it would have been really awesome.

The head isn't right either.

I think this is Promotional Prime, Maybe we can get Ghost Busters Prime out of this or Pepsi Prime. Might not actually get Hero Prime from this.

I was expecting a red and blue(typical Optimus) and an Amazon trailer… honestly.

 

The White Prime with possibly Sky Blue highlights would be nice in my opinion.

 

I think I can also see the G2 Hero Optimus Prime elements here, but the lower legs would have to be modified so that the vehicle front end up as the robot mode boots and it doesn't look like we'll be able to achieve that just by swiveling the lower legs (pinned joint) or rotating the waist the opposite direction (lest he wind up with backwards-bending legs).

That said, @SixoTF did reveal that he got intel that the mold will be reused later on, so who knows? Maybe being able to change up the lower legs to better achieve that G2 Hero Optimus Prime look might not be impossible?

 

Because it's cool to have a robot that converts into a real life thing. This is not a abnormal thing with Transformers either. We just had those Canon camera bots recently.

 

Maybe, but I'm not holding my breath. If this mold is as close as we're ever going to get to a G2 Hero Prime, I'll take it.

Now that we have confirmation that it'll be reused somehow, I wouldn't be surprised if part of that involves reshelling the cab into something generic so they don't have to pay licensing each time, and since the cab already forms the legs I imagine it shouldn't be too difficult to tweak the engineering a bit to allow the waist to be rotated 180˚.

Yeah, I'm not against brand-licensed figures like this in general, just not too keen on the idea of Bootlickimus Prime here representing Amazon. Piss bottles are the right of all sentient beings?

Just rotate the waist 180 and it'll pretty much do it now. Just a matter of if they need to adjust the knee tooling so it'll bend the correct way.
