What a time to be a macross valk fan, I haven't had such goosebumps since the 30th anniversary of macross with all the yamato macross 7 valks
Yes so nice to have all this available product now but I remember that time you're thinking of. That time right after Frontier came out and bumped Macross popularity back to such a high level and raised the waterline for all Macross series. Who expected things like the VF-4 or 1/3000 SDF-1's to get releases?
So im not the worlds smartest man especially with scale (lol) but is that upcoming HG YF-19 about the size of the Revoltech YF-19 or the Yammie GN-U DOU YF-19? Speaking of the 19,recently took it down to dust and probably transform and pack away for the time being as a neighboring Quake rattled my shelf yesterday.
I’m not sure how big those other figures are, but I think the new HG 19 will be about 60% the size of your DX (assumnig your DX is 1/60 scale).
Got shipping notice on my VF-0S, but thanks to work I won't be able to pick it up until next weekend. Looking forward to seeing pictures in the thread until then!
Apparently a LOT. In terms of amount of body parts, there’s enough there for roughly two separate units. The Battroid, Gerwalk, and Fighter torso/fuselage are three separate parts. I think the Battroid and Gerwalk lower bodies are separate as well. The only shared element is the legs, I believe.
B-club did a few Macross II kits, although this is the first painted sample I've ever seen of the Metal siren
I had the VF-17 for a while but sold it off because it didn't look great from any angle except the front. Wide from the front and a limp noodle from the side. IMO the most "cartoon magic" Macross transformation alongside the YF-21. I believe the Yammy VF-17 and DX VF-171 were designed by the same firm, I love how the 171 looks but haven't bothered to get it because of all the major design/QC issues.
