I received my copy of the V3 this weekend. I can't compare to the V1 or V2 but man is this a beauty of a figure. I hesitate calling it a figure as it's HUGE. Stands very well on it's own even with wings deployed and the neck stretched out. Love it as a display piece. One thing that surprised me is the left hand. I did not know about this feature and it's a nice way to add some more symmetrie to the robot form.

I've not yet tried to transform it to the dragon form.

I've picked up my copy of Cold Dragon today (turns out the post office didn't bother to notify me and it's been there for over a week) and wooooooooooow it's a mess.
    1. The collar piece on the right side has what appears to be a scratch or a stress mark from the shoulder pad (although I admit it may be just the paint).
    2. Both knee areas and knee covers are totally slathered in glue residue with dirty fingerprints and white lines in panel lines.
    3. The left knee area has big scratches on the outside and back.
    4. The "cannon" attachment piece has deep, ugly scratches under the paint.
    5. The right foot has the 2nd and 3rd claws swapped.
    6. Upon further inspection I have also found scratches on the second neck segment with darker blue streaks on the lighter blue paint.
And I would also like to mention that the V1 Winged Dragon I've got had two right ankles, so it seems that fate hates me. Thankfully Show.Z's got me a replacement, but this guy I've had to buy from ebay, so I'll try to contact JX's customer service directly.

Can someone tell me if the latest matte batch is exactly the same as the previous matte release? Are there any changes or improvements?

I just got this figure and my shoulder was also broken out of the box. I didn't even realize it until I couldn't figure out how to attach the shoulder to the body. I bought from @Bombusbee and asked what they can do. What did the fix end up being? Did ShowZ send you a new figure or a replacement part?

ShowZ contacted Jiang xing, they sent SZ the part, then forwarded to me.
The part they replaced was the entire left arm, from the shoulder joint itself (what was broken) down to the hand (no new dragon head, just the arm).
A couple of screws and TAH-DAH, he was good to go!

@ShowZStore is my go to overseas retailer, as I think their Customer Service is the best around (prices ain't 1/2 bad either!).
I hope Bomusbee is able to help you as well.
    GOOD LUCK!!!

Thank you for responding! I submitted a parts request to @Bombusbee and they are currently looking into it! Hopefully they can get the replacement part from Jiang Xing and send it out to me. So it was just a few screws on the main body to get the broken piece out, and then put the new arm in? Interesting... I don't see where those screws are off hand, but I guess they provide instructions for that? I have no problem doing the repair so long as it's reasonable, and I get the required parts.

This is actually my first time purchasing with Bombusbee, and they've been good so far. I actually wanted to buy this figure since version 1 was announced, but life prevented me from doing so until now (it's actually a Christmas + birthday gift from my wife). I didn't care if was metallic, satin or whatever, so long as I could get a copy! It should go well with the Perfect Effect Beast Gorira (V1) I bought years ago.

I've purchased with @ShowZStore a couple times before too. I actually have something on the way from them right now as a gift for my wife! No issues from them thus far, but they didn't have Winged Dragon in stock at the moment. Even if they get a restock the timing wouldn't have worked out for this particular gift.

@ShowZStore is my go to store. I'll do @Chosen Prime as well, especially when I want something quick (like my MMC Steeljaw), but their Customer Service is 2nd to none as well.

If I remember correctly, there were 2-3 screws, accessed from the back, that disassembled the shoulder. Honestly took all of 5 minutes... but there were NO directions on how to do so.

I was actually quite content with my Mega Doragon, as I love the sculpt and size. But every time I saw Jiang Xing's, the temptation grew, until finally I grabbed on sale (and with points),\and got him for a great price. His paint job is immaculate, his size incredible, and his screen accuracy blows me away. I'm SOOOO glad I now have him in my collection.

I hope Bombusbee comes thru for you, you have as little trouble as I with the transplant, and you get to enjoy him in all his glory.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!

Merry Christmas to you as well! I hope you have a great time over the holidays!

Wow... I'm flabbergasted that they didn't give you any instructions whatsoever. I think most people would rather not experiment with such an expensive figure. However based on your comments I took my figure, separated the back into a Y shape (as if I were going to transform it) and took a picture of what I believe are the two screws in question. Does this look like what you did? Not only do I have an interest in fixing this myself, but this is also good documentation for anyone else who runs into this issue.

I was looking at Mega Doragon as well, but I agree that Winged Dragon looks more show accurate. Mega Doragon seems more like an anime inspired version of TM2 Megatron. Between the two I vastly prefer Winged Dragons aesthetic, but honestly both are probably great figures!
