Yeah, not ideal. Makes it more annoying to pose... But at least it works.

 

Because now it looks like a super hero. The elegance of the original color scheme is lost.

And she's perfect! Nothing loose on my copy or anything.
Spend a good 1/2 hour to try the different wings and settled on one that stood out as the preferred one.


I must have missed in the videos the she had landing gear at the back (knees area) so that was a nice surprise.

She's one of the few figures I have that can do the double handed sword hold and she does it better than I expected.

So after about an hour if having her in hand, I am absolutely loving it and so glad to not have hesitated.... I was worried that I might have overdid it by getting a backup one (still incoming) but now, not one but.

Bummer.

Gotta say, it looks a lot better in these pictures vs the promotional ones. Looks way more proportional and the colour break up appears substantially better in these shots with some more natural lighting.

 

I notice some versions of Windblade have Blue knees.
So if they do a re-release they could add a bit of blue to her.

But I would be curious what this would look like in her alternative grey deco or if they have any plans to remould her into Slipstream too at some point.

 

I’d rather a new mold for slipstream that looked more seeker like than a lazy remold.

 

The Legends Slipstream is a Windblade remould - it would be referencing that.
I'd not object to the "sexy F-15" girl or a Cyberverse hard angled look to the jet.

But they have the mould & there is precidence there. There is plenty of other girls to give that new mould too. Cars, Boats, Bikes all sorts.

 

Considering the mold's shape in both modes, it would make a better Nautica remold than slipstream

 

You know, remolding just a couple parts like the head would make this a viable repaint opportunity to make a nice Slipstream...

I mean... I fucking love this figure, so much I did some custom stuff on it, but I would also kill to get a MP level Nautica as well. And honestly, if they used this figure as a basis to do some remolds and reworks for Nautica, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

 

How do you guys get her to stand without the stand? I cant figure out the ankle tilt (if there is even any)...

I'd 100% buy a version like your digibash. I've wanted a good representation of Slipstream since WfC, and that would be the best Ive seen.

 

Easily actually... unless the pose is too much out of balance. I had more trouble figuring the stand that her ankles, but have her on it (the stand) now, more for safety as she can tip over easily enough when you have a new baby kicking around the desk.

So yes, she absolutely has ankle tilt. You need to play with her feet (giggidy) a bit, rotating and turning them a bit, and just moving it about. Once you figure out how it works, you'll understand it... it's a very different and strange engineering approach to it but once you "see/feel" it, it's quite interesting.
