Smokestack glued (looks crappy close up, I’ll still be wanting my replacement) ankles tightened up with nail polish, decal on shoulder. Looking good. Could anybody send me a link to a good clear coat for waterslide decals?

Mr. Mark Setter and Mr. Mark Softer work really well for securing waterslides.
    Is that an Ocean decal?

Did the scratches come from the shipping, in your opinion?

Cool. Saw the new design on UncleBilly but wasn't sure whether they were waterslides or dry-transfer. Glad to hear it's the former.

Finally got mine in today and nothing is broken on mine. All the joints are nice and tight (except for one of the smokestacks not staying extended. I think I'll be able to fix that tho) and I'm completely fine with him. I couldn't care less about the weight and he feels fine to me personally. Also glad to hear that MS is changing their replacement parts policy. As long as things go smoothly with my Seeker and Coneheads package I think I will continue to buy MS products from them directly. I'm sorry to the people who have had issues with this guy or who aren't happy with him.

I tried shaking the clamshell and turning it upside down and all, the figure doesn't move at all.

I also tried to squeeze the clamshell from all sides, including front and back. The smoke stacks do not touch the clamshell at all -- at least if they are collapsed.

I also try to bend the smoke stacks. They are quite hard, should not be easy to break.

so the space under the hand is annoying but not a deal breaker and the ankles need floor polish. but i’m still day one happy with this guy.

Mine just arrived from Show.z and I can thankfully be added to the unbroken smoke stack group as well (whew!).
    IMG_8777.jpeg

Figure I received doesn't have blemish, scratch or loose smoke stack issues either. All joints seem pretty tight and his poseability is insane.
    IMG_8778.jpeg

Looks like Razorclaw had an Autobot faction symbol stuck in his teeth. He sure was happy with Prime for taking it out for him
    IMG_8780.jpeg

I know some people feel like this guy's cheap but with his flexibility, I'm truly glad he's so light. It really allows him to hold poses that he might not be able to hold if he or his limbs were any heavier. I mean, c'mon….how could you not love a figure that can pull off Tony Jaa poses?

This guy's articulation is absolutely amazing and I'm having a blast seeing what crazy positions I can put him in….much to the chagrin of my daughter who wants me to stop using her desk for photos so she can do her homework.

    Silly girl……hell no.

Glad a lot of Primes have made it to their homes already. Mine is stuck at customs for it's 4th day now. Just going to wait patiently.

So you think anyone at HasTak is looking at this next to MP-44 and just thinking, "Wow, we really missed the mark."?

I know, MS02 isn't perfect, but I think it's head and shoulders above MP44. Not discussing quality of materials or paint apps (or lack of). I just mean the mold itself. In order to get both the toon truck AND toon bot proportions right, thr argument was MP44 had to make compromises (panels, backpack, overly complicated transformation, knees, etc...) But then Magic Square swoops in and creates a figure that absolutely nails both modes, but keeps a simple, fun, intuitive transformation without the paneliness. Not to mention a clean backpack and a truckbed that doesn't look like hammered dogshit.

Having now received my initial copy…I still plan to purchase several of the eventual repaints. That being said, my day one impressions of the figure have been mixed. The design is damn near close to perfect, but that ends up being a frustration point, as I can’t stop thinking of the little adjustments that could have been made that would have made this the first truly perfect MP fig. It is amazing though. Truly. Everyone should get one, if only just to check it out.

Personally I prefer MP44s truck mode. Best looking Optimus truck out there IMO.

Sculpt-wise, the biggest issue with MP44 is the backpack and that is a direct result of the decision to add a sound gimmick. They should’ve added it to the trailer or his gun instead but alas.

MP44 is still a fantastic figure and still the most premium looking MP Prime out there with that gorgeous paint job IMO.

MS-02 here looks to be an incredible figure as well. The engineering and sculpt are fantastic. No paint and softer plastic means it’s a lot easier to handle absentmindedly without risking damaging the figure. In that sense it certainly is the better toy.

Doubtful. This seems like a great lateral option instead of something that obliterates MP-44.
