I think there was a huge scale debate earlier on in this thread and it was discovered that Drift was indeed taller than Bee?

There's no scale debate, it was already confirmed how tall he'd be when first teased. That alone wasn't gonna stop me from picking this up though. Since it's for the most part a nicely engineered figure, and the probably the only mpm style drift we'll for a long time.

He's only taller than la Hire by his crest, I don't see the issue with scale

Yeah, but he should be abit shorter than hotrod and bumblebee. That's obviously not the case here with haiku, as he's pretty tall. Scale is very opinionated though, so if you like it great, but for me bot mode doesn't work well with the other figures.

IIRC in AOE Drift is actually taller than Bumblebee, so if it’s just a toy scale debate then fair enough but it’s very close. I need to watch it again because I could be wrong.

This is always the case with movie characters tough, they change constantly throughout the film. Sometimes he's taller than bee other times he's shorter, there's arguments for both sides. There is no definite right answer, just whatever we each prefer. For me personally, I've always seen him being quite shorter, so that's the way it is for me.:)

Er, I was referring to the debate regarding the in-movie scale? The toy heights are obviously fixed.

Got this in hand… Blown away.

I won’t call it perfect because the knives on his back need to partsform and there is no weapon storage in car form. Not even gonna mess with helicopter mode for now.

This just ticks a bunch of boxes for me… the leg articulation is limited, the head gets limited by the collar, and I recognize some inaccuracies to the movie, but the fact that this EXISTS and pulls off what it’s going for with such aplomb is a miracle.

If this is any indication of Metagate’s work moving forward, and it doesn’t self-destruct after a week like Transcraft Bee (will never stop being mad about that), I think Terrorsaur will be a dream.

Bee is clearly in the foreground here though.

Not too be that guy, but in the same scene Primes hand swings infront of Bee. Which atleast indicates too me, they're already standing fairly inline with each other. Screen_Recording_20221016-104927_YouTube_exported_4702~2.jpg

This guy just posted a way to fix the upper arm joint in his community page, not sure if it'll hold up though. I've heard nothing but warnings about messing with screw joints

Yes Prime and Bee are near each other, Drift is hanging back.

When I said Bee was in the foreground, I also meant Prime, but the debate isn't Prime vs Bee, it's Drift vs Bee.

    Either way, excellent figure!

Idk, It doesn't really stand out that he's farther back, but that's just what I see, hard to tell if theres actually forced perspective. But anyway, I don't think there's a debate really, I'm sure everyone has there own idea of how tall each character should be. Some folks just quoted me with what the issue was with the scale, and I countered with that it's just my own personal take on the character. Besides there's a frame that makes every scenario accurate, so we're all winners in the end.:p  But yeah I agree, Haiku is great figure overall, despite my issues with his size. Going into bot mode is definitely easier than alt mode. Probably just a bit of practice required, I must've spent 30mins trying to get everything to line up and close correctly. Got it in the end, and noticed that he must've been mistransformed out of the box, because he didn't roll great or sit even, upon initially messing with him.

It's always gonna be iffy, but I can fully imagine him being taller than bee, as an "older" or more "mature" bot

If anything Decepticons tend to be bigger in the Bayverse movies with a few exceptions such as Sideways so I’d go with that since he’s a former member of that faction, but he’s also a triple changer so there’s that too.

I don't know if the faction switching is canon in the movies but I actually really like that way of looking at it

Not perfect but you can shove the missiles in there and they hold well and it looks cool:
