Did you try to contact dorkside? I got tired of waiting for them to ship my order and just asked for cancellation and refund, I rather wait for Amazon or Pulse or even BBTS, many people ordered it the same day as me and they shipped it faster, after this Dorkside is on my black list.

 

No no, it's already shipped out. Its just not given me any updates since thursday of it leaving the shipping company's NJ facility. I have no idea where its even meant to stop next, because this is supposed to get handed off to the USPS eventually.

I just got mine today. Loving this guy and your pics. Will definitely be bringing out the details on mine that looks fantastic, and I'm doing tankjet now!

 

Me and my friend both just got ours this past week. Do the panels that wrap around his legs really not stay tabbed shut? That's the case on both of ours  

 

The end of the wings don't, but everything else should. It took some force on my copy to get it to all clip together.

 

Are they...not supposed to, or is it just a thing?

 

Trust me, it'd be more trouble if they did tab in all the way.

 

If his thigh is clicked into place right in robot or jet mode, the wing should fold over and close flush all the way on both sides, there's even a little tab on the wingtip to tab into the thigh.

Edit: If the wingtip flap is not clicking into the thigh, press on the yellow stripe on the back of his thigh itself, there is a tab inside that *clicks* that may be preventing the wingtip tab from reaching it's slot.

 

On mine, what seems to be preventing it from closing all the way is the ankle assembly. The tab in that areas seems to stuck too far out. I tried tightening the screw that attaches the ankle joint in case it wasn't seated all the way, but it didn't help.

 

Mine too didn't tab but it's solid enough to not disassemble so it's fine.
Btw I got mine today and it's easily my best TF of 2022, just by unboxing it and looking at the tank mode i instantly felt the warm and fuzzs with flashbacks the old G2 Megatron.
The chonk and square i wanted it's all there goodbye Generations and Titans Return  

 

I just wish the sides of the tank kibble would rotate so the faux wings would slant with the real wings, which would fix the kibble issue and make the jet more perfect and g1 accurate. It's just a small step that they could have done to make the figure perfect.

I hope an upgrade kit for it comes out but with how many pins are in this thing I'm skeptical...

 

Pin removing is nothing new to upgrade kits. Though the only upgrade kits some companies have been bothered to make are guns, swords and a piece that covers up the faux cockpit in tank mode. Strange, that.

 

I really, really hope you're right. I saw the upgrade kit for the tank but imo it's completely fine.

I just want the jet mode to be fixed, which is a bigger issue for me. Just a way to rotate the tank kibble to make it more streamlined. It would easily turn the figure from a 8/10 into a 10/10.

I wasn't kidding about the upgrade kits that have pins. One that comes to mind is the DNA Designs kit for SS Ironhide, requires you to knock out a pin and they even provide you with a pin puncher.
But anyway, any tank upgrade for Blitz usually just clip on, believe. You can find em easy on eBay.
I sincerely doubt DNA or any company will make any MAJOR modification kits, though I don't think Blitz is in that bad a need for it.

 

I was referring about the pin punching. Maybe there is some hope for blitzwing's jet mode after all.

I know it would take a major modification but if it turns Blitzwing from good figure with a bad jet mode into mini masterpiece territory I'm all for it.

Heck if pin punching is on the table it might not require a big modification at all, just remake the side tank panels with new ones that rotate in jet mode!

 

Unfortunately I don't think that's too likely. Unless you're willing to punch out a pin that will turn Blitz into a DuoCon, which someone in the thread did so. And the results? Not terrible. But not desirable if you want the thing to hold in one piece throughout.
