They could have just used Deathsaurus. You do not just lock a Main Character behind a Limited Exclusive Wall. If they released Victory Saber as a Legends EX, or Generations Selects then yeah, whatever... But the way they are releasing Victory Saber makes them unable to do a reissue if they wished to.

Deathsaurus is a main character as well so that wouldn't have worked. feel Dai Atlas would have been a better candidate for Haslab instead of that awful legends EX figure.

 

Are you saying that you would've been okay with Star Saber/Victory Saber being some bizarre store-exclusive retool/repaint, then?

Should we be impressed? He's a character only mildly infamous due to the scarcity of his original toy, more than anything. Even the people who've watched Victory never have anything to say about his character.

 

So yeah, naturally I'd rather a all-new mold at commander (or even titan paired up with a base), but this is a very welcome surprise.

Put a happy spin on it - maybe they can now enjoy Victory for the first time!

 

Well for anyone still doubting they were planning a Dinoking out of core Volcanicus due to obscurity I think this put those fears to rest. (He may end up an exclusive giftset though)

 

Yup, I did. managed to source Omega Surpeme this year from Japan. kinda angry his price goes down recently over there after I got him in June.

 

This is unexpected but a welcome surprise! Dang it. Now I’m gonna have to move on finding and Earthrise Sky Lynx faster.

Also, from where I live, Asia, outside of BotCon, and TFCC; which I was extremely happy when they were dropped, Exclusives are not really a thing until HasLab was introduced. You wanted SDCC Nemsis Prime? Well, they are sold at Toys "R" Us! You wanted SDCC Sentinel, well, Takashimaya has got your back!

Granted, some Exclusives never saw retail, but as far as Transformers go, Hasbro has always made them available down the road in some form; the SDCC Bruticus, and SDCC Dinobots.

But, HasLab products are locked behind a promise to their Customers to remain Limited, aren't they?

 

I feel like after today's news this has only become *more* likely...

Well unfortunately some of have to deal with these exclusive figures. Good for you for being able to get them. Still Liokaiser is still a main character. And wdym Deathsaurus isn't a title character? That's like saying Megatron or Galvatron isn't a main character.
