Got my H35C today and wow... this deco is on another level. Yes he could bee a darker purple but I have MP-29+ for that, so I'm super happy with him.



One thing to note (I'm sure its already been mentioned) no electronics on this one... but that solid eye totally makes up for it.

 

Yeah, that blue sparkle is killer. I hope to capture it on camera.
I got the EX too, so now it's best of both worlds.

 

I have the EX but am now swapping it out for this.

 

I'm actually doing a lot of double dips, cause I'm doing G1 toydeco collection and comic, but pretty much eitherway: you can't go wrong.

 

I do keep getting tempted by this - the different purple on the joints and that blue chest are keeping me at bay though. That painted eye looks great though, makes it look alive!

 

He finally arrived!


I'm sad to say that the bright shade of purple bothers me just as much in hand as it did in photos if not more. The box art, ironically illustrates how far off he is from his actual comic colors. The blue of his chest is also just as perplexingly saturated in hand as it was in photos... though it does look cool, so there's only so upset I can be.



It's especially disappointing putting him next to Megatron, whose comic deco looks much more mature and refined by comparison.

Also continue to wish they'd do different accessories for the comic bots; Shockwave coming with a saluting hand just feels silly when we're talking about the comic character.

All of that said... this is still a great toy. As a relative newcomer to NewAge I continue to be blown away by the quality of these things. The transformation is ingenious (adore the way the barrel hides away in his chest), and he's a blast to pose and handle.

So I'm happy with my purchase overall. Just a little perplexed that NA boofed the comic colors this badly.

 

I mean, if you wanna trade for the darker “EX,” lemme know…

 

I'd love the EX purple with the silver thighs, elbows, feet, etc. of this new version. Still looks great with grey, but with silver it would be perfect IMO!

 

And with a painted eye. The EX is still my favorite version though.

the mad scientist shockwave has finally succeeded in creating his ultimate clone army in multiple universes!!!  

 

Pro tip: His head isn't actually glued together. Pull the purple section forward and it'll pop right off, and you can really easily add a bit of yellow paint and pop the face back on. Makes a world of difference.

 

I already painted mine actually, I just taped up the area around the eye. Your way is better though.

 

Wait… Where and how did you get those leg covers for Ymir??? They seem integrated, not parts-formed! I’d love to get my hands on those. I’d greatly appreciate it if you would let me know.
