Only links I could find on short notice

First day of Hascon Snarl had the gun, they removed it later.
    Cutthroat rocking Wildfly's head

Of course, nothing came of these so they join the "We know they're there" remolds like the Autobot alt heads for CW Devy, CW Onslaught having a Demolishor head, or the older Warpath into Hardhead from back in Universe

The Autobot alt heads for CW Devy.

Basically Landfill plus Quickmix and Scoop. No body remolds, just head remolds. Was offered to the fan club back when they were around, along with a G2 Devy (with an alternate screaming face). Club did not reckon they could move a Titan Class combiner for. Obvious reasons.

But its on the molds if they ever fish it back out again

Nope. Never produced in physical form (Unless someone out there has a CW Devy prototype that uses them)

We just know it exists per the scrapped Botcon proposal discussions, they mentioned a few of the things they were offered. CW Doublepunch is another of the "Hasbro had the head and offered it to the club" ones, but that obviously came out

I didn\'t realize that the Core Dinobots were a Combiner. It almost makes me feel ok with the egregiously bad bot mode for Sludge. I might even pick them up still, though I already have the PotP Volcanicus and don\'t necessarily need another one.

2018: "We're making Dinobot and Terrorcon combiners, and we're tooling in a few optional things so we can potentially release a Mostructor or Dinoking set later on. How well did those box sets sell?"

2023: "We're making a (Pretender-shell-less) Dinoking, but the classic Dinobots will sell better, so we'll do that first and then take care of Dinoking right after that ... ... ... probably."

    These look like utter crap.
Pictures of these two should be on TFWiki as the lowest example of compromised engineering.

I was only interested in Swoop, but if these two are any indication, hell no.

I wish they had leaned into the size class more. Make them more original and even quasi-retro like the targetmasters have become.

Instead they took the Studio Series character designs, made them combine, and shrunk them. Which is an impossible ask and leads to all of the unfortunate engineering compromises.

My collecting focus has been on 3P Legends-scale for the last several years so I've really enjoyed all of Core class so far and if anything I'm more forgiving of sacrifices for the scale than some...but these are just bad looking in both standard modes in this traditional Dinobot deco IMO. I understand the marketing for doing the Dinobots first for the name recognition but these look like that crappy Authentics Grimlock I got for $4 on a whim at a dollar store. I feel like I'll be far more forgiving (and actually interested) in these speculated DinoForce recolors not only because of them being less available characters in physical form but because as a Victory fan, I'm used to seeing them squat and deformed from the Victory commercial bumpers and end credits.

    Yikes!

I always try and remain positive with my outlook on this hobby; and remember that I chose to participate in this as it gives my joy.....thaaaaaat said.....

MY LORD these look like they should have never gotten past the sketch pad phase! :/

And for me PERSONALLY, I am just not into the play concept of "attach as much random other sh*t to a figure just because it can." I get the idea of scramble city and whatnot, but this is just an incoherent mess. Perhaps a 7 year old would go bonkers for this ....but as someone who is a teacher and is around that age demographic all the time.....7 year olds aren't playing with toys like this anymore.

Anyway....to end on a more positive note:

I AM loving all of the other Core Class figures as of late. :)

*speaking of combiners, I still have a few left for sale in my sales thread (in sig) at give-away prices! ;)

I\'m excited for these, but why is sludges knees located on his shins and gappier than a window?  I mean, I know it\'s for combination but couldn\'t they at least try aittle harder to hide it? Anyway, I love the look of slug and that combined mode looks incredible. I will be a-buyin these!

These Dinobots will be fun to pose out with Unicron and the Ark, and Fort Max and Metroplex. Sludge might just stay in Dino mode with those thicc thighs though.

So something I am interesting in/hopeful for is that, with them stating that one idea was a deluxe with core limbs AND the fact that these just use 5mm pegs either Hasbro or a third party could go full on Power Core Combiners and create a deluxe figure that can swap in as a new torso.

Imagine an updated Grimstone in deluxe mode that becomes the new torso with Grimlock/Snarl/Swoop/Skar as limbs. Or a G1 Scorn or Deluxe G1 Slash.

Im in the "these look terrible" camp. Hasbro, u've been doing these toys for how long now?

If u need to compromise so hard, maaaaaybe leave out some modes. The dino modes (my preferred dinobot display) look atrocious; the robot modes may be worse. So combiner mode FTW? Except that Volcanicus is not a fond character... so who's buying dinobots just because they combine? :banghead:

It's not that Im against experimenting... it's that they reaaaally should have tried dinoking or monstructor instead. This will end up a Volcanicus that no one wants, other than the few remaining completionists.
