My thoughts, excellent performance by Thew and I always enjoy seeing Mark in there. Tarn I really had no doubt he would turn out nice, I am surprised by how accurate he is. This was always going to be an immediate pre-order. Perfection achieved. Hotshot Hotshot was a surprise for me. I think I like him in the way that I'm supposed to like Bumblbee. He looks like a scrappy recruit. Neat gimmick! Needlenose Man I wasn't expecting anything amazing... but It's not quite what I was hoping for.... It's absolutely the G1 toy with articulation. It's not bad, and if we can get a Dogfight out of this I'll be happy. Soundwave I was the guy that wanted a removable headband.... It does look really nice though. I'm not a huge Junkion fan, but I'll keep an open mind.
I always head canoned that (putting the cartoon to the side) and thinking in more general terms that they can perhaps do and be both. Like Deepcover can change size - maybe they can too. It is a bit like Gun mode Megatron - he always fits in a hand regardless of who is holding him. That can then allow the Cartoon and the comic to meet in the middle somewhere. The POTP "shells" seem like they are implied to be tiny though. But the Core class can just as easily be seen as small like Spike and Wheelie or large like the majority of core class Decepticons are. I like that it makes them more versatile across many play patterns. It is going to be a bit strange when we get Metalhawk though.
OMG yes! Gimme those! Also a Skyquake, Stalker, & Clench too! I still can't believe that I mistook Breakdown for Thunderclash on the poster lmfao
I would say closer to March, at least here in the UK wave 3 isn't out until late oct maybe nov so unfortunately I can't see evo wave 1 till March time
....it's been posted multiple times and is also listed on Pulse itself. I mean, not Monstructor. Just teased the full Volcanicus and *six* members of the team but the assumption Dinoking would follow isn't hard to make. Monstructor would have different alts.
"And Core Class is obviously a great way for us to get the in the line altogether, obviously we can't do it at Leader Class" - Ben/BMac Uh. How am I/are we supposed to take this? Is that his way of saying there won't be the rest of the Dinobots at Leader Class? Or that they're coming and just not in one line? (This could mean the other two might be Legacy instead of SS86.) Or, he simply misspoke (which is entirely possible! It happens to anyone.) and they're still all coming in SS86 over years? While I personally believe he was trying to say they can't do all 5 in one particular year and that they spill over into the second year, I can absolutely imagine people being confused by that statement and that clarification is required. "We wanted to make sure you could get all the Dinobots in one year." - Evan This makes Ben's comment make more sense. As for the reveals... The Dinobots becoming Volcanicus and having 6 figures in one, leads me to believe that we might be looking at the precursor to Monstructor/Dinoking. Although, while Core Class would be a nice homage to the G1 original toy, it\'ll piss off a lot of fans/collectors who want proper CHUG scaling out of it. Hmm. The plot, it thickens. It's weird seeing NO wave 1 Leaders in a line. That's...going to take some time adjusting to that. (Understandable what they\'re saying but still...) As for Breakdown ending up in Evolution, I'm a little stunned, but that means he'll be plentiful so finishing Menasor should be relatively easier than previous combiner lineups like this one. Lio Convoy looks STUNNING. (Now, we need a Galvatron to go with him, y'all!) Needlenose! YAY! Junkions ...I don't think I've been this excited about a Deluxe Class figure in quite some time. Don't get me wrong, I love Cosmos but some of his allure was FOMO, whereas this is just a solid Deluxe class figure that does amazing things given its size and design. I cannot wait for more! I love the new packaging design with the inner cardboard cover. Hopefully, it'll add stability and protection. Hot Shot looks incredible! My gosh! And Tarn...you sechsy beast! Can't wait for the rest of the DJD! All in all, I'm super impressed with the reveals. Can't wait to see what Armada Optimus will look like when he's fully unveiled. This has been an awesome set of reveals. Sadly, they didn't reveal everything. I'm guessing we'll be seeing some reveals at NYCC. (Or some other outlet, at this point.) Ba-da-bum-ba-bum... I'm lovin' it! *BUZZ* Incorrect. Hasbro still owns the rights to that mold, period. Netflix and Walmart own the rights (temporarily) to the deco and G1 design use of that mold (and Bumblebee's as well), but not the mold itself. Hasbro has violated no agreements for the following reasons: Soundwave: 1.) This one is repainted. Check. 2.) This one is remolded with a new head. Check. 3.) This one is an online exclusive solely through Hasbro Pulse, therefore it cannot compete with Walmart or Netflix. Period. Bumblebee/Goldbug: Another good example. All of the above, minus number 3. Instead of Hasbro Pulse, it's a Target exclusive. Exclusivity contracts DO expire and are not permanent. The G1 deco of these molds, with proper heads and accessories, will be available as a PR mass retail release when those contracts fully expire. 2-3 is the standard, but 3-5 is not unheard of. We're already 2 years in. (Look at Dirge's PR for Legacy, for example.) So, next year or the year after, you should be seeing the Netflix molds in plain old packaging at every retailer, just have to be patient for the contracts to expire and die off.
Supposedly it is the Robot mode head of the Titan Class Decepticon "Nemesis". Oh and before anyone jumps down my throat about the Decepticon ships being 2 ships - I discount that retcon BS ------------ No leaders - well that is silly it's not like a Cryotech release takes a lot of effort you just make Megatron Dragon in Blue. I'm sure they could have rushed out a Toxitron or G2 Ultra Magnus if they'd wanted to do so. But if there is Studio Series Swoop and Snarl not so far off that would compensate. If they just decided to do more Leaders under that brand I won't cry to hard. But if not then - yeah they should compensate with something else like an extra select series Blitzwing repaint or such like. I wouldn'ty complain at all if they decided to drop it and make more Voyagers instead - but that doesn't seem to be the case here. So yeah "odd" I wonder when we will get the Studio Series reveals there seems to a lot of interest in that line up to come.
Don't feel bad. Rumor mill is heavy on Thunderclash. To paraphrase the great Huey Duck, "I still see (Thunderclash) every time I close my eyes."
No, they're saying that because there's more Core figures per wave/per line it's easier to get full teams out faster. Compared to SS86 where, by the time they're done, it'll have been like three years.
\"Scraphook clearly being a pretool of RID Strongarm,\" I hope not. Reason being is I want to see Animated Sentinel Prime show up, and theyd be great for sharing some engineering.
man that Hot Shot looks fantastic as does Tarn. I already have Volcanicus but will definitely buy whatever repaint the core dinos get. most importantly Armada Optimus Prime is here at last. and he looks fantastic. and forgot about the Junkions but they look great as well.
Tarn looks like a recolor and slight retooling of Impactor. If so, that mold has seen a lot of mileage, almost as much as the tetra-jet mold. Not crazy about that Hot Shot...looks terrible to me. And Needlenose\'s targetmasters look like the G1 versions...with no improvement`on them. We\'ll see what they look like in person. Otherwise I like that they are mixing it all up. They need to do more of it. Expand it to RID 2015 & 2001 toys.
Here's my thoughts on the reveals from Pulsecon 2022. Core Class Dinobots: Slug looks decent for a core class but Sludge looks meh. That being said, the way these two combine into a torso gives me hope that we can get a Dinoking from this set. Core Soundblaster: Nothing much to say, core Soundwave was a great figure and now we have our first Buzzsaw in 7 years plus a solid repaint to go with it. Breakdown: Looking really solid and I'm glad he comes with a spoiler, hope he doesn't yellow. Scraphook: Mad Max lookin Junkion with an Eyepatch who turns into a tow truck? Sign me up! Hot Shot: Surprisingly decent, glad he still has the Axlezooka and the articulation looks good for this decent. Needlenose: Third times the charm and man he looks really good. The Deception Target Master Juniors trio is finally complete. Lio Convoy/Leo Prime: Only thing that looks a bit off is the Lion head, besides that he looks really good. Tarn: Another fantastic looking dude, I'm still surprised that they managed to get a DJD member onto retail shelves. Shattered Glass Soundwave: Glad it's the Netflix mold and happy he has the headband. I'm very worried that this guy will yellow, hopefully they fixed the yellowing problem. Overall, really happy with the reveals this time around and Legacy Evolution is off to a good start.
I would’ve loved to see a Bombshell or Shrapnel reveal. I like the idea of Junkion Weoponizers. So, that big Decepticon head isn’t Tarn but possibly the robot head of a Titan Class Nemesis spaceship? Cool, color me intrigued.
