Yeah, the Core. I figured a Soundblaster at that size would be a redeco of Kingdom Soundwave, and the first redeco of Laserbeak in G1 was Buzzsaw, so...

 

Given how things have been going so far for poor Buzzsaw, Soundblaster will have Garboil.

 

I'm really hoping that one of the usual 3Ps makes an IDW head for SS86 Ratchet. I'm also hoping that we get a Marvel style repaint. I just ordered a new core Ratchet to paint up in the comics style, but I'd love a voyager one.

 

Would be neat but unfortunately it seems less known 3p companies do upgrade heads or even upgrade kits minus DNA, so I don’t think it will happen.

 

Have we ever seen Optimus Prime from the Bumblebee movie in a truck mode? I think that would be an interesting toy cybertronian truck that is

Then is it possible we could get a cybertronian mode from the Bumblebee movie?

 

Doubtful as Optimus' cybertronian mode in that movie was just his Earth mode without obvious kibble

 

Possible? Sure. There are subtle robot mode differences. Optimus Prime is insanely popular. The Bumblebee Optimus figure is insanely popular.

For it to happen next year, it'd need to be a slight retool at best in Buzzworthy Bumblebee. The ROTB figures are taking over the movie slots for next year and WFC game figures are using a bunch of slots too.

I have to imagine Cybertronian Optimus and Voyager Shockwave are being considered. Then again, they'll be competing with Bayverse and SS86 and WFC and leftover ROTB characters for slots.

 

If they were to make a cybertronian truck mode I would hope it was a mix of the earth mode mixed with his Fall of Cybertron truck mode

 

I still think we could, mainly cause I wanna see what they can to do still make his Cybertronian alt mode to look less like an Earth truck. Would be a creative challenge for the designers

 

Also worth noting that WFC Optimus probably fills the quota for a Cybertronian Optimus for awhile on top of Siege and Pulsecon Orion Pax.

Hrm. Maybe it would make more sense to retool Siege as Bumblebee Cybertronian Optimus.

 

I highly doubt it since they don’t do that for SS (use G1/mainline stuff for SS retools) along with you’d be dealing with way more detailing from Seige.

 

Not wrong. Definitely think we might see something more of it in the future but I don't think it's the priority atm especially with a ROTB Prime definitely coming in 2024 imo

 

100% it’s not but just at some point would be cool to see and to have.

 

The only reason I think they haven't done that is that CHUG designs weren't suitable for Bayverse. SS86 has shared molds with about 6 non-SS86 releases.

 

But not live action stuff that’s look wise a whole different ball game.

IDK how you could retool Seige Prime into a BBM Cybertronian Prime while changing the whole style and look of the figure.

 

They completely redid all of the detailing on Siege Ironhide for Walgreens Siege Ratchet.

 

Expect those two share the same aesthetics and are repaints/share the same mold as one and other with new heads, new crotch pieces, and front grills. But key thing being aesthetics are the same.

Seige and live action stuff are completely different design styled and looks so retooling one into the other will not work.

 

Honestly, if they just retooled the biceps, forearms, abdomen, thighs and front of the lower legs, they'd have an 80-90% accurate BBM OP that still uses more than 50% of the Siege OP tooling. Of course, gang moulding could potentially make that unfeasible.
