Hmm, I actually think I like the black feet better. Particularly for vehicle mode.

Me too if i'm being honest. Or maybe if only the toe parts were red and maybe the foot silver? To invoke the original toy a bit more

 

Yeah... I like the black feet way better in both modes. I think it just looks better.

 

You see the Facebook comments under the posts it's basically 50/50 split on if people prefer the toy accurate red or the black feet.

Be interesting if they include optional feet as well, though that may depend if the feet are easy to take apart/put together and if how it will affect costs.

 

Agreed on both fronts. Hope those parts aren't too tough to paint over.

Arms literally fell off and having a real bitch of a time trying to get them back in.

 

I believe you just twisted them off of the swivel joint that is used for the core-bot waist swivel, should be able to line them up and twist them back on, then pull the white tabs on the sides of the shoulders to lock them in place, It should't require much force, if any at all

 

Well this thread got revived at the perfect time! Just got this guy in yesterday and he's great. I really don't like the proportions of the core optimus figure, but the super mode is incredible and that is how he'll stay. It seems though that the QC issues with the panels on the chest are still somewhat there. I don't have any stress marks or cracks, but the outer panels in the front want to stop noticeably in front of the top panel that is supposed to latch into them, and pushing them back in place feels like it's flexing the joint past where it's supposed to go. I'll be leaving the panels unlatched and sitting where they naturally want to stop as shown in the photo. It makes almost no visual difference and makes me feel better.

 

They might do two different versions at the same time, like how they are releasing Doubledealer in two different versions with purple or green wings.

Fours years later, I gave in.

 

Replacement parts installed and Naval Commander is fixed. Good service from both FH and ShowZStore  

 

I was wrong about these two. Fun toys all around, and excellent homages.

 

Only recently got this guy and Megatron as my first Fans Hobby releases and man, I think they've filled the space that Maketoys left in my heart.

Fans Hobby customer service for the win! Got the first release all the way back, been very careful with is but alas all the cracks still ended up happening. Contacted them and they got me the replacement parts!

Boy do they feel a lot better than the first release's red plastic. Joints aren't as scary tight, and it's more durable.
