They wouldn't really. People seem to think "repacking" toys is a simple endeavour, but in reality it'd be a massive undertaking requiring excessive manual labour even if it was done at the actual production factories. For toys always packed and shipped at port, it's just not feasible. Where would the packaging even come from? Even domestically-produced items often get packaging from overseas.

Hasbro almost never takes existing, finished toys out of their packaging and puts them in new ones. In fact I can't recall a time they ever have.

 

Especially since it isn't ROTB.

 

They did in Europe, back in 1985.

The second wave of "Milton Bradley"-packaged Transformers toys were actually unsold Joustra Diaclone stock.

Seeing how these 2 are reissued figures it\'s highly likely that the first wave or so is just gonna have that kinda stuff. Especially with prime and bee being the only thing shown so far.

 

Just saw the 2-pack at my Target. Took note of the price, it's like $26?

That's a fair price for that set. Those sold for $13 dollars individually AFAIK

 

@Black Convoy This set is from the Bumblebee Movie it has the Bumblebee Movie logo on the package in 3 different spots. This set is not Rise of the Beasts

 

This was one of the sets that got a packaging refresh. Original promo shots for this set seen a few months back had the ROTB logo on it,
