Surprised I've not seen anyone doing any mods or anything to this guy yet.

Okay, sorry for the late post, but I JUST got Blackout today (TOTALLY love him btw!) and I was perusing the forum, because I love seeing what others have posted after getting a figure in my hands. I stumbled upon your video, and while I have absolutely NO problems transforming him and getting everything tabbed in, I’ve spent a good part of an hour trying to figure out how you even get that really satisfying click!!! :p

I just wanna understand it…

Yeah, I have no idea! I’m thinking maybe it could be something clicking in somewhere else besides the back, like the two tabs that slot into the side of the tailfin when folded up? Other than that, only @Actar can say, because I have been staring at this thing for a while and can’t find anything that snaps in like that!

Got MPM 13 the other day and he is glorious! I kinda stole this pose. I know we’re all Transformers fans, but if you can guess where this VERY subtle, chonky pose is from, I’ll give you a high five.

There are a couple of tabs on the backpack that tab into holes inside the torso that lock it in place.

Haha, I've had the pleasure of handling three of them up to this point and they've all had that click. (^.^')

Interesting! Thanks for responding! I’ve gotta say, I checked out my copy and it won’t click in, but it’s always in the right spot. At most it just lightly touches the sides where it’s supposed to “click” in. Doesn’t ruin anything for me, but I guess my copy’s just different!

I fiddled a bit with mine and got it to Click! My click wasn't as satisfying though and was a bit quiet by comparison :p

Finally pulled the trigger on this guy yesterday bc of the 20% off sale and an additional 15% coupon someone pointed out to me. I still think he’ll go on clearance at some point, but he’s back to full price today so I know I at least got some sort of a good deal.

Anyway, I’m a massive MPM fan and I’m really hoping he gets the 3P/KO treatment with premium paint and minor engineering improvements (primarily the wonky ass feet). If they do a KO, I’ll be sure to grab that one as well.

Just got it yesterday from Target sale. I can understand why it's so expensive. Compared to SS, the MPM is about 2x the parts count, and 3x transformation steps. Takes 20 minutes to transform to helicopter, a big portion is tabbing all the panels. A bit exhausting. I'd say for most people, the SS is the perfect balance between complexity & detail. But if you care about vehicle scale, MPM13 is the only one that fits w/ the SS trucks (Hide-Shadow is too big).

If they go OS I’ll likely grab one. Unless the paint aps are amazing I can’t see grabbing another for that reason. So far I still prefer my Hide Shadow to this guy (and I do have both in hand).

Hey is there any way to get a flight/display stand set up to work with his helicopter mode? I couldn't find any plugs on him

Might have to go with Flight Pose knockoffs.

So, do we think Hasbro is ever going to bother releasing this figure in Canada?

He looks like one of the best MPMs so far; would sure be nice if he were available without having to import him.
