Rodimus landing at Kapow next week. Galvatron en route from Show Z.

My Rodimus just left China. Hopefully next week I'll get him but probably not until the week after.

Man I need to find a space for this guy.

 

I'm gonna need to clear out a Detolf. I've got all the the 3P Victory Destrons en route as well. The madness never ends.

Found him in stores but that 200 dollar price tag  

 

I mentioned this a few months ago, but now that I could be getting billed for Galvatron soonish, it once again bugs me that Galvatron is the same price as Rodimus while having far fewer parts and features. He has nothing that compares to the opening chest, expanding shoulders, and lengthening legs They should have had his cannon open up to get a different LED effect with the Matrix slotted into it like in "The Burden Hardest to Bear," or given him alternate armor pieces to make him look reformatting / lava / gold filigree GalvII detailing.... something like that.

 

I can agree with this. It’s why I held back on Galvatron. He has less going on than Rodimus and isn’t really much bigger or anything as a trade-off.

 

I managed to get Galvatron for a good chunk less than I did Rodimus so these criticisms (that I share) were a bit easier to swallow.

different head would have gone a long way for me. I love the character but I’m not into that head, so at that price it just wasn’t happening.

...shit.

Straight out of the box, move the fingers and voila! The housing between the fingers crumbles. Popped the hand off the ball joint to give a better look. Hopefully a very unfortunate one off, because this thing is stunning.



Kapow are going to try and source a replacement hand. And in the meantime I might try my own at a repair. Even if I'm successful I doubt it would be a permanent fix.

Bugger. He's such a handsome boy, too.

It's testament to how goddamn good looking this thing is, and how great it is in pretty much every other way, that I'm pretty chill about that breakage.

 

Damn! Did it come broken out of the box or break from posing?

 

Broke when I started posing but fell apart so easy it had to have already been damaged.

I've actually managed a fix that's holding for now. So fucking go me, eh? Honestly taking so much more from his Hot Rod form than I expected.
