Got my notification from ShowZ. Just the tracking number for the moment, but hey, one step closer!

So it's a good news / bad news situation, but overall I'm pretty happy. First off the bad news, and as expected, I've had a couple of QC issues, but nothing super catastrophic. Here's what I've noticed so far - there may be more, but I've checked him pretty thoroughly in both modes:

-His right thumb is missing - this is the most annoying one for me because it's not something I can fix myself and I know my chances of getting a replacement from Toyworld are basically zero. That said, when he's holding his walking stick, it's not really noticeable - be honest, you didn't notice it in the pic above until I mentioned it, did you? :D
-There's a small "flank" piece on either side of the torso that folds out during transformation, and the one on the right snapped off as the pin had been misfired *slightly*. I can probably fix this one myself, at least in a "good enough" sense.
-A very thin "mast" piece at the front of the boat had snapped off in the box. Easily fixable. interestingly, another super thin piece comes separate and in a bag precisely so it doesn't get broken in shipping - I don't know why they didn't do this with both pieces tbh.
-I *think* I'm missing a lifeboat piece, but that's not a huge issue - I can headcanon it that one of them needed to be launched already!
-The "backpack" detached during transformation, but I think this is intentional - it's just held on by a C-clip and I assume it's meant to come off for combining with Prime.

None of the above are hugely problematic in bot mode, and either barely noticeable or totally hidden in ship mode, which is how I'm likely to display him most of the time. Would I like it if he were perfect? Of course, but it's Toyworld, I was expecting worse tbh.

Anyway, negatives aside, what do I like? Well, for a start, just look at it - it's gorgeous! It even kinda makes me like the design of movie Jetfire, which I never thought would happen! Transformation is also surprisingly not awful - I've only done it ship to bot so far, I expect that getting it back into ship mode will be more difficult, but we'll see. There are also a couple of "masterpiece" moments in the transformation - I particularly like the way some of the mounted guns fold backwards to make them symmetrical in bot mode, where they're one in front of the other in alt mode. The way the arms fold out out is really nice too.

I think some people might be disappointed by his size (no jokes), particularly in ship mode - he's a fair bit smaller than I expected. Not an issue for me, mind, cos I'm running out of space enough already!

So yeah, for those who have this incoming and are fearing the worst QC wise, as long as you're willing to accept "good but not perfect" you should (fingers crossed) be OK. Considering I doubted this toy would ever actually come out, I'm pretty darn pleased to have him in hand.

PLUS the Starscream BAF part came with the piece that was missing from my Red Baron, so that QC issue has been solved at least! :D

That’s great news, all things considered! I’m very excited to get mine. Hopefully he’ll arrive in just another week or so from AliEx.

Yep, comes with the Starscream torso, spare head (movie Blitzwing style), gas mask, hands and machine guns.

I got mine in today from ShowZ. I was a little terrified but I can say that at least the battleship mode and Starscream parts seem to be more or less perfect. It feels good to end this line on a good note after the Hotrod debacle. I won't get to transform Jetfire for a few days, probably, but he looks great sitting on the stand. The only real possible issue so far is the bridge area seems to be on a pretty loose swivel.

    Just received mine also :D

1st: BOX IS WAY TOO HUGE for what's inside... i mean the boat mode is not that big, doesnt take a lot of space... the axe neither.... the boat stand maybe but still would be possible to make it better... then you have like a corner of the box that is not utilized at all
2nd: The instruction... as in the tradition of EVERY recent Toyworld figure... you want to take the instructions and throw them in the garbage... they are beyond HORRIBLE... the images are TINY, they'd fit on my pinky finger's nail... its impossible to tell if its the front or the back of the boat or what is it they actually MEAN to do... i check instructions... FIRST step seems to ask you to pull down the fron of the boat completely... I check a video NOPE its flipping up 2 pannels in the back actually... aiight... F-those instructions from that point on.
3rd: its by my last HORRENDOUS experience with hotrod, but the transformation was MAD SCARY SO MANY weird tollerances, some joints seems "glued" by the paint, others are INCREDIBLY STIFF, others are loose (but not alot are, they mostly super stuff)

Nothing is broken or missing on mine, so I'm thankful for this.

    OVERALL:
    -transformation is SCARY but nice
-Boat mode has A LOT of panels lining but its not so bad, the ugly is the under the boat which has a lot of robot showing
    -paint is great
-robot is amazing but mine seems to have weak ankles... but still stands due to its super big feet.

    Very Satisfied so far... ;)

PS: YES now i do have all of Starscream's parts!!!

    Enjoy the video!

Nice review! This is one that I would have bought and maybe even kept, but I didn't want any of the non starscream variations, and I am not spending that much for a BAF. I'm happy that they didn't fuck you guys over and actually released the torso, which is a very low bar for TW haha! Back in 2007 I hated bayverse starscream's design and now it's one of my favorites of all time, and this is a really cool variation of that design. Too bad it's practically unattainable, and way over priced.

If anyone is willing to part with the BAF arm that came with Bulldog please let me know. I bought my Bulldog from ShowZ early on and it didn't come with the figure but was supposed to be supplied later on. Showz never received them. It's the only piece I am missing.

Just got mine out and tried transforming it.

I will say they've nailed the character perfectly; pieces breaking and falling off all over :-(

edit so I'm not making too many replies in a row:

If you haven't transformed him yet, be careful of the red flaps on the bottom of the bow. The red parts are metal, there's a lot of paint, and the hinge where they connect to the plastic bow parts is small. So yeah, whoops.

The 'FS' in TW-FS0n stands for "frustrating"

To anyone who might be interested in the 'real life' HMS Warspite which this model is based on, I would recommend watching this short video
. Toyworld chose the name well, because if ever a ship was anthropomorhosised it was the Queen Elizabeth class 'Warspite', she had a character and wilful attitude all of her own.

I just saw this too and came here to see if it might be worth taking the risk :lol  Much more reasonable price and I’m seriously tempted to round out the group.

I may actually have each of these. I got the snow version of Bulldog but don’t recall if it came with an arm. Hotrod had his pretty sure.

PM me if you’re still after it and I’ll have a search for them. I’m in Australia which is probably inconvenient but maybe we can figure something out.

Just keep in mind that shipping could be very expensive. They don’t list the prices with free shipping like most other China-based stores do.
