I’m pretty sure FT figures will be readily available after they are released, if you still want some of the upcoming ones. At least it seems more and more clear to me, that people have started to slow down when it comes to buying things. All FT figures are no longer quite as hot as they were during corona. All everyday goods now cost so much that people have to start thinking about what they can spend money on.

This. Hence the massive sales after the fact too - I get nauseous at how much I spent aftermarket on Thomas or my $60 US markup of Tesla 2.0 compared to current Chinese sales. With rising costs and now a baby, I've shifted almost exclusively to legends and canceled all my MP POs. Only keeping Jazz and possibly Blaster if they change the chest since they were my favorites.

though the $70 current sale of DS Blaster is tempting ...

I think part of the "artificial scarcity" thing is because some people seems to not understand the dynamic - we are not talking about mass production products here.

It's a niche product in a niche market with a small number of product being manufactured when compared to mass products.

Meaning, buying tactics that you use for mass products do not apply. In these cases, you probably need to actively monitor and go after the offer, instead of expecting that the offer came to you while you are sitting on your bench.

There's obviously other collectible s that are much more scarce. I've just discovered a sofubi designer which seems great, but the sofubi world seems to be all hand-made and painted very small batches (<50) that the only way to buy some are either going to their website when in the time they announced previously, or enter a or enter a lottery that they themselves provide. upload_2022-9-26_12-7-45.png

I'm not sure how they want to do it, but when Hitch, Jive and Phantasm (I can't remember if Hitch went up with them or the previous grouping) first went up for pre-order Tesla 2.0, Chomp, Hannibal, Outrider, and Aussie were all still just pre-orders. I don't think the number is the restriction.

I think it is mostly just when they believe something is within the next years release window now. Its not like Berserk or their other preorders before that sat for years. I would expect in the fall we get the yearly dump of painted test shots again and a whole slew of preorders. Some will get spaced out into early 2023. Warthog, Recorder, Tapes, Parkour should all drop first probably in one batch.

Yeah, that is what started this, I expressed my surprise that group wasn't available yet a few pages back. I would have expected those preorders to go up in July after they were shown in color at TFCon for early 2023 release.

Didn’t the last set of pre orders go up at places like bbb and showz after the last tfcon, earlier this year? I think that’s how I secured all mine.

I know certain places like tfsource and TFsExpress put preorders up much later when there is a colour sample shot direct from FT. The later of which usually post on their fb book page as far as I know, not being a fb person myself, to provide when their pos will go live. People on here are usually really good at sending that same info into the relevant thread in good time. And I would imagine the likes of tfsource email updates of new pre orders and arrivals direct to customers on their mailing lists.

I don’t do social media either so TFW is my life line to the Fanstoys world.

Not trying to diminish your point of view… not at all… i like the idea though. ThreeZero use this approach on their home page… I think the difference being is that they are licensed for what they make and FT might have a hard time from official sources if they came out with a dedicated website…

This is one FT figure I will not wait for a discount on. No other jazz out there cuts it IMO, it will actually be my first ever MP Jazz.

The only thing that would make me not get it is if TT would show one between now and then, but they seem busy doing more Skids repaints no one ever asked for.

Very excited about this figure actually.

I'm super excited. Jazz is my favourite TF and will be done by my favourite company. :D  This year is great. Two amazing figures are coming, MS02 Prime and Jive. Can't wait to buy both and see how they look next to each other.

And my fav S1 cast is slowly building. Now we have Prime, Jazz, Mirage, Trailbreaker, Brawn, Huffer. FT need to continue with S1 carbots.

I must respectfully disagree with you because looking for information is quite difficult. You have to use the Google. Have you ever had to figure out what keywords to type into that search bar? It is excruciating, so many decisions.

So I just purchase all my figures from TFSource because they always take care of me…for a small upcharge.

You've gotta order from (Nick the guy) he doesn't charge for shipping if your on the east coast. He ship's from Philadelphia and I'm in New York so for me it normally takes only one day to get to me... if your in the states give him a try. fyi he's a Facebook seller

Nick the Toy Guy? Is he actually a toy guy or is he (unfortunately) human? I prefer the former

Unbox is dope. I scored their Splatterhouse Rick amd Biggyman releases. They are excellent. However, the late tax on Rick was not that excellent.

I agree on the price settling on FT's releases eventually. Seems like the COVID late comer scalper movement has died down significantly now.

I've just discovered them recently, but what really has fascinated me is the figures from designer Abao (which do a lot of work with them).
