AJP has had my Getsuei as "Preparing for Shipment" since Friday. I think this is the longest they've taken with any of my orders.

I saw that video a while back. Thanks for reminding me. These MPG trains are more appropriate for legends or smaller, but these MPG definitely aren't suitable for Chug nor MP. So the MPG stuff should be priced lower. We still need an oversize version of this MPG to make it better for chug scale. The moon studio trains are just too short in length it seems. MPG has better proportions in terms of length and width but scaling it up would be an improvement. Plus, lets face it both of those other combiners are too expensive for mainline collectors.

What it scales with does not dictate price

as has been said many times. in the show the characters where car bot size. the robots scale to the MP line

vehicle scale is never going to happen

combiner scale has so much mass shifting that to get them to be kaiju sized the bot and altmodes suffer

My Shouki Order did the same thing. He didn’t ship out until later in the evening on the Monday after release (which was prob Tues in Japan). But Getsui shipped this passed Friday (Sat in Japan) so I think it’s simply the luck of the draw with AJP.

AJP has been using "ECMS" lately for me. Not exactly sure why, but it does take longer than DHL. I mean, 5 days instead of 3. Not complaining at all.

Got mine from DHL today. Super fast as usual. I heard some people in the U.S. are now getting more than one shipping option from Amazon Japan. And sometimes only the slower option is available for some figures. Not sure why. For me in Canada I'm still only given the super fast DHL shipping option.

For the longest time, Japan Post suspended all their services to the US (and many other countries). They started up EMS a while ago again. I reckon it may be cheaper for Amazon to use them vs. DHL. Japan Post is still not shipping to Canada and the UK at all, which is why the EMS option wouldn’t be available.

Didn’t Amazon use EMS before the pandemic? Or was it always DHL?

Ya DHL seems to be the only option for Canada, I don’t remember if I’ve had the option for EMS before the pandemic.
I’m hoping to get mine on Wed. You’d think, coming from Japan, it would get to BC first but DHL always seems to go through their Cincinnati depot. So halfway across the continent and then back to the coast.

It was always DHL for me. Recently there's been a second option that is a little slower than DHL but still pretty fast. I don't think it's EMS.

Ah yeah, ECMS is a separate company, not related to Japan Post.

    Never mind then :p

My DHL shipments normally only stop in Cincinnati before getting to Quebec and then to Ottawa. But this time there was an extra stop in L.A. And I still got it today. I normally get my AJ packages on the Tuesday after release, but sometimes it's Monday. I would be very surprised if you didn't get your package tomorrow.

There's an express and standard now. Express is, guaranteed quicker bit more expensive. This may be a case of a lot of different releases hitting all at one time,my Shouki was standard and it was no different than usual. Shipped out before the weekend and got it Tuesday. Ive just been in preparing for shipping since Saturday.

I saw it yesterday for a Macross item; the difference was literally one dollar. But yeah, it has always been DHL for me up until Shouki. Then another item and now this one. 3 in a row.
