I know not everyone is happy with him, but this Inferno looks so goddamn good to me.

Beast Wars Megatron was a total Queen, I don't even know why he was bothered by that.

I haven't seen much hate thank god. I'm not a big fan of how small the hands are but it's a nitpick. Also no big cannon sadly. Other than that, He is a perfect update.

dude you spend multiple pages refuting any criticisms people have about new figures. I don’t know if you think you’re helping foster more positivity but if often comes off just as combative and condescending as the people making complaints.

anyway, I hope DNA design or someone else puts out a show-accurate gun for this guy

It's okay for those people to be wrong sometimes.

I think he looks really good, only complaint is he has small hands but that doesn't bug me.

My only real complaint is the lack of any apparent articulation in the ant legs. The gun looks decent but I'm sure someone will make his guns. I can't wait to finish up my Season 1 BW cast. Now the real question is how many upgrades its going to take to fix TM Megatron.

I can't wait to rip off those beast legs on his forearms and never transform him again.

Controversial take: I think transmetals are likely to be fully re-imagined, and I'm okay with that. From the standpoint of accuracy, the original toys are pretty damn close. The only thing you can really do is release the figures with slight upgrades and premium paint, like TransArt.

I don't see the Transmetal line upgrading all that well. It's like Bulkhead from Transformers: Prime. The first edition bulkhead is basically as good as you are going to get. So how do you bring the character back? With a bit of a re-imagining.

That's how I see transmetals being handled, and I don't think the Beast Wars community will love it, but I'm down for it.

Now that we can see how the thorax transformation works, I'm wondering if I can 3d print a thruster that splits in half and folds out on an armature to rest under the legs in ant mode... Sort of like that Cliffjumper partsforming fix

If DNA doesn't get to it first, that is

My primary complaint with him is the horrible dtahon mode neck base. It literally looks unfinished with bot mode hand just sticking out. Going to need a serious upgrade to fix/hide that. I used to have all of the original BW figures, but I joined the military and my younger brother sold them all to get back at me for leaving (I was 20 at the time).

The animators really just copied the figures exactly for Season 2, it is almost like Toy Story in that way where you can actually see ball joints and pin hinges on some characters. I think it will be done similar to Armada Starscream where they aren't going to try to redesign them, just make them more articulated.

yeah I think some reimagining is the best way to handle transmetals. I don't think modern toy budgets are enough to allow them to iterate off the original figures. Things like vac metalizing and the 3rd vehicle modes might be too much for a Deluxe to handle. Going for a new angle gives them room to excel on their own standards.
