can't forget about cookie monster lmfao

I'm guessing cus they haven't unlocked the bonus tier? idk. But I do agree that if more people knew that they could get Mephisto they'd probably be more likely to back it. Then again I'm not too familiar with Robbie Reyes' Ghost Rider so I'm unsure of how popular he is with Marvel fans.

As far as most bang for the buck, VS is the clear winner in my book (YMMV). One big ass leader, one stout voyager, the possibility to combine them into a semi-giant robot, 2 micro masters, and all for under $200? That’s a win! My ONLY gripe is that the V Lock Cannon was a tier, it should’ve been included. I’m not sure what they could’ve replaced it with though, another round of repaint micromasters to try and round out the patrol? A Jan figure?

All I know is the Haslab Primus BETTER come with a gold chrome Emirate Xaaron figure to commemorate that time Primus possessed him and went on a suicide run against Unicron in Marvel TF #75. I’ll go to John Hasbro’s house and picket with a bullhorn if that doesn’t happen. (What do we want? GOLD CHROME XAARON! When do we want him? NOW!)

Edit - By the same token, if they do a Liokaiser Haslab (and they probably will because I went in on the Hades reissue), DeathCobra BETTER be a tier!

And? Tack $25-$50 onto the damn thing and throw in the figure. If someone is going to toss a (presumed) $500 at a Primus or LioKaiser, they probably won’t balk at an extra $25-$50 for a figure (either) that’s never been made before and that is closely tied to the main haslab offering.

I agree that the V Lock Cannon being a tier was an odd choice. I was upset about the shield but I didn't realize until after I saw Victory that it was an episode specific accessory. I do agree that it would've been nice to get Pipo & Boater to complete the Rescue Patrol, but ah well. A Jan minifigure, or maybe a transforming figure of Illumina II would be cool, kind of in a similar vain to the exo suit spike figures they like to put out from time to time.

A Liokaiser vs Road Caeser haslab set would be awesome imo

Honestly I think having Laster and Braver basically bisect to stretch into legs might help with that. You could use the extra mass from Blacker's legs to bulk up the torso a bit

I went with PX Ismenios with the G1 kit. I think the blocky aesthetic of it better matches Haslab Star Saber over the more dynamic D-Zef (but I did get IDW D-Zef because it just looks awesome in general).

Love this idea. Really I'd be up for anything creative over just reconning them into a 5-bot team, which I can unfortunately see happening.

Well I guess it is fairly safe to say a Dinoking is not on the table for a haslab rather core class

I was about to say, wasn't Dinoking/Monstructor (at least toy wise) canonically one of the smallest combiners?

The other thing I'm curious about is how big the Volcanicus (possibly Dinoking) will end up being when fully combined

That being said I still think the best option for another Victory related haslab would be a Road Caesar vs Liokaiser boxset

I can imagine that being a $600 HasLab. I think we got lucky with how low the Victory Saber price was (even though there were a ton of people talking about how it was too expensive, should have been commander class, blah blah). With pricing on HasLabs and all toys going up, I’d imaging a Liokaiser HasLab would be $350, a Road Caesar would be $200, and a CHUG Dinoking (if it included the Dino pretender shells) would be $450-500. Now I know I said $600 but what I listed for those 2 combiners only add up to $550. But more bots means bigger box and more shipping expense, which is why I think a box set would be more expensive than if they did 2 separate HasLabs. And sure, these could all be retail releases, but then we’d get the compromised crap that was Combiner Wars. And no one wants that. Including Hasbro, can’t see them giving unique molds that take up so much of a main line to relatively obscure combiners. That’s going to go to their big name combiners before any JG1 combiners.

Oh yes, the fact we got all those Haslabs at once read to me as "factory prices are going up VERY soon so we need to lock in our order numbers at the current rates NOW."

I just thought the boxset cus those two are some of the most obscure G1 combiners, excluding stuff like Battle Gaia, and they don't really have any repaint value. Or at least any repaints that people would be dying for (at least to my knowledge).

I thought Road Caeser would've been around $120 to $150, while Liokaiser would've been around $200 to $250. But I guess I might be too generous lmao

Yeah a boxset with 9 bots might be very costly (that's not even going into all their accessories).

That being said I think I'd pick Liokaiser as a future haslab if I had to pick one of the two. While Road Caeser I feel could maybe be snuck into the mainline, since he won't take up that many slots. Whether they have him be 3 deluxes, 2 deluxes & leader, or 3 voyagers.

Strictly speaking the legs could be voyager remolds of each other because what makes the shin is basically a shield in bot mode and you could easily engineer them with two way combined mode knees. Blacker probably would need to be a leader for the engineering/parts. I'd also reckon they should be mainline for the Selects repaints as the Motorvators (who seem to be common requests, either through nostalgia or memes).

Personally, I feel like the next HasLab is gonna be something big, and probably Decepticon-y, but not JG1

I'm hoping his at least 8 in. tall, so he does not look to awkward comparing to Victory Saber.

I'm hoping they end up being around the same size as regular Star Saber but who knows

Yeah I agree with your idea, I am curious if they'd reuse the brainmaster design they used for Star Saber (obviously they'd change the face for the 3 bots).

I actually didn't know there was demand for the Motorvators, I just assumed people didn't care about them since they were basically neutered of their ability to combine. Well Gripper from what I can tell looks exactly the same as Blacker, so a gen selects of him would be unnecessary. A Flame & Lightspeed redeco from Laster & Braver in gen selects would make sense tho.

As for the next haslab I also agree that it won't be JG1. Personally, I'm getting a strong feeling that Tidal Wave might be the next haslab.

Brah... if Tidalwave is titan class, we could have Broadside! Screw the combining with megatron as a whole - just give him "parts" like the Bayverse ideology... all the micromasters/battlemasters could store in him.

Based on current core sizing, Volcanicus/Dinoking is likely not going to be any bigger than a Voyager.
