That's awesome but which of the pictured vehicles is it describing? From the windshield description, it sounds like the one in the center with the two curved windshields, which isn't what Inferno looks like at all (and as noted by @G.I.EDDIE)

    Apologies, Google slipped that in.

If 1.5" wide is 1/64 which is 8ft in real scale
    4" long at 1/64 is 21ft long

Modern fire engines are 24' - 35' so I think that tracks. But yeah, finding dimensions on that vehicle is hard. ‍

Thanks for this. Would you happen to know or have such info on Mirage's alt-mode? I'd like to know the exact model and variation of it to check how close various toy makers have gotten to it. Thanks in advance!

That's actually the one I was basing off however the dimensions were bigger probably due to the flatbed

    That second graphic is cool!

I don't know if that's the right base vehicle. If you look at the other pics at your link, the wheelbase looks substantially larger than Inferno ever was.

Though, like you said, it may be very likely that Inferno wasn't accurate to his real world counterpart. Using length as a scale reference even if we had it might be futile. Width measurements may just be the best method.

I believe when MP Inferno was announced it was said that the cab is what they licensed so you might have to just scale based on that. The wheels are also accurate to the real vehicle. I agree he is a shortened version of a T951.

There were fire trucks made using that Fuso cab— I’ve seen images of them, though the ones I saw had only a single rear axle.

There was also a box truck version of this vehicle if that might be closer to Inferno's dimensions. Again he's not one of their actual fire trucks, as oddly specific as that may sound. Think of Inferno as being like Sunstreaker or the Coneheads who are partially real life and partially fictional.

Makes you wonder how we’d ever get Metroplex or Trypticon. Even Omega Supreme is pushing it on the scale chart to be comfortable for my shelf.

I would expect an Omega Supreme. He would be ROTF leader class size but Metro and Trypticon would be about the same size as Titan class. So I don’t see a reason for 3P legends companies to do them.

I'm all for some legends titans. Omega would probably be easiest in the sense that he just needs to scale with the combiners.
Metroplex and Trypticon would probably need to be Hasbro Titans size. While TR Trypticon may be ok, Metroplex isn't that good. If they do them I'd want them to be as cartoon accurate as possible.

Resized side-by-sides is a weird comparison to make.

I wouldn't call it weird as it's done to see the proportional similarities and differences. Plus there are plenty of people collecting who are moving into legends from MP and want item comparisons.

I would never even consider comparing a MP to a Legends scale figure.

Just because you wouldn't doesn't mean the rest of us don't though. With the deco standards plenty of us consider Newage as mini MPs; considering the reduced space demands they create collection wise they are a superior option for many.
