WOW. I want ALL of those battle damaged ones. where can they be found?

 

OMG, i've joked about having releases of weathered/battle damaged versions over the past years but never thought it come true!  

okay NA ya got my attention, but i'm gonna hold out. how's about cel shaded versions??? then and only then will i'll give you my bank account!!!

If they do Devy in the battle damage I’ll have to get the whole deco collection then. Until then I think I can control myself.

I am collecting Newage figures to serve as Diaclone Car Robos for my Diaclone Reboot collection, and in my headcannon it takes places decades after the Car Robo generation, in which old units are sometimes used by Mercanary forces. This is literally what I wanted.

 

NA’s Weibo says they’re hand painted, sounds expensive.

Looks like they may do their Jetfire in this deco also. If they do Grimlock and his buddies too, I'll be in for a whole new set. I've leaned more towards Magic Square's releases but if Newage did their Devy in this deco, I'd be in for a set for those as well.....having had no intention of getting a set.

Where can the lucky draw be found???

 

Not on any retailers. You would need to know some dude in China who received one.

Didn't care about any of the David variants but this glow one takes me back to my childhood where glowy things were all the rage. If it was general availability at a decent price would def get one just to hold it in to a light to charge the glow and then transform it in a dark closet.

 

That’s how all Lucky Draws go. If it’s official they are only in Japan that people get through contests. If it’s 3P it’s similar but in China instead of Japan.

 

there is someone on the forum who had some of the prev limited versions for sale including the hate plague. guessing he'd be your best shot at getting one.

Robot mode. He is also very very tight.


He glows, as glowing things should. Hooray for glowing.


Unfortunately, his Matrix is made of nylon and does not glow at all.


I will only play this version again when there is a proper Hate Plague Rodimus.

Haha here Mr Sweetdaddy is actually referring to me because of my jokes about him, as you can see in his Weibo posts about his neverending acquisition of Newage figures.

 

Just got Blingimus Prime yesterday and I love him! As a one-off highlight to my collection. He's almost TOO metallic/shiny. He stands out among all my other NA but can sort of go alongside Comic recolors or Cyclonus but is definitely shinier than both. He'd look odd in a Magic Square collection. The full elbow range is great and didn't realize there's a forward/backward swivel at the new shoulder! Maybe from the paint, but his joints are way tighter than toon David, who now has slightly floppy knees. Disappointing that that the open swivel hands - to open the matrix chamber or do a superhero/Black Widow landing - is unpainted.


FYI for those salivating over the battle damage repaints, there's in-hand images and Chinese reviews of the Starscream on the last few pages of his thread and doesn't look nearly as good (but not bad) as in the promo pics.

I’d actually love to get one of these in a bare plastic/diecast matte grey (hopefully with the new arms too). Sort of like the Mcfarlane artist deco they do on the Warhammer stuff they do.
