You know, I heard people only saw Cinderella to watch the Frozen short at the beginning. Afterwards, some leave the theater.

 

Thanks to "Cuphead" (the show), I don't have to imagine.

 

I mean, people do say that realistically mermaids should be fat since they live on the sea floor and need the blubber to keep warm.  

I haven’t really watched the show Centaurworld, but they have like centaurs made of any creature. A hippotaur, an elktaur, etc. We already have Ursula after all. A whale mermaid would be cool.

All I know is that a lot of young black girls were happy to see Ariel looking like them and by the end of the day they're the ones who'll make their parents take them to see the movie and buy the toys and that's what Disney cares about.

Not about what a bunch of adults say online or the number of dislikes on the video, but maintaining the rights and selling merchandise. And if we actually paid attention their movies are making bank. We can talk about how much all the live-action remakes are bad, but they'll still make money, same with Star Wars and Marvel and that's all that matters and we should know that better than anyone with the Bayformers films.

 

Am I the only one looking forward to the live action recreation of the psychotic kitchen battle??

 

It likely would be no where near as funny in live action.

 

It’s set in the Caribbean Sea and the original animated movie had a talking crab with a Jamaican accent so people’s racist reactions to this movie are especially thick.

I had no idea that all these online macho men were so precious about the little mermaid franchise.

Also, the new film's Part of Your World was leaked on Youtube and Halle is 100% perfect for the role.

 

Yea, the underwater footage, looks less like she's underwater, and more like she's in some basement studio filming the porno version. But, they couldn't afford proper lighting, so just went with whatever light just happened to come through the curtains.

 

Let's hope they sort out the underwater footage and make it look brighter.

Saw just a bit of the leaked footage of Part of Your World from D23 and my god, Berry’s voice is beautiful. It was just an extra 30 seconds but I legit teared up. She’s too good for this.

 

It has nothing to do with "getting a life." My wife is the one that took the kids to the theater most of the time prior to 2020. I'm sure it is true for most families. I doubt most kids are begging to go watch these, so Disney has to rely on the nostalgia. Most of the the live action remakes have enough changes that it kills the nostalgia for the target audience.

I honestly feel bad for the actress because if Disney had just made a new retelling of the little mermaid instead of an adaptation of their cartoon, people wouldn't care. Unfortunately, the Mouse is so creatively bankrupt these days they can't.

 

Sort of ironic to be telling adults to "get a life and grow up" on a website dedicated to a children's toyline where the majority of members are beyond the intended age for that toyline.
