Funny enough, those are surprisingly fitting names for the characters as well besides Breakdown

 

I wish I had some forsight when it came to transformers, because a G2 Menasor is right up my alley and wouldn't have gotten the regular release. Maybe I should skip Velocitron Hot Rod in hopes they do a pink one some day...

 

Would he be Team Jacob or Team Edward?

 

It would be great if they repack cosmos and clampdown for wave 2.  

 

we know the W2 repacks are Road Rocket and Clampdown. sorry

There is a faction symbol on Crasher and the box says Decepticon, but Shadowstrip does not appear to have a faction symbol and the box does not list a faction. They definitely seem to be making the Shadow Strip a different character from Drag Strip rather than a G2 version.

and if they release a G2 colored breakdown, I hope it is as Boss and start the Turbomasters in Legacy Ev. Rumored remold of Motormaster for Thunderclash, a white Mirage or Drag Strip for Hurricane. a red deco of Earthrise Bluestreak for Flash, and they could always re-release Rotostorm.

I assume they wanted at least a partial reuse of the name to ensure the link to his G1 counterpart; I think Dragslicks or Dragstorm would have worked better than Shadowstrip though. Apex, Downforce, and Dyno are all racing terms that probably would have worked too.

Wildfire is already out; we already know he's going to be based on the leaked name, "WLD RIDR":

 

The box has a G2 Decepticon insignia on it, right next to his name.

 

The box for shadowstrip pretty clearly has the g2 con logo

 

I mean, they've already given self-retailers the choice to buy 8 packs of Cosmos so there's technically no issue as long as you're fine with online shopping

What if... It's Thunderclash from Motormaster, but with ER Prime's trailer?

 

That's clearly more than 7 inches, it's a leader class at least

 

On one hand, we’re not getting Shadow Striker, but since that was a mistaken assumption, I’m fine with that. Maybe we can actually get one in the future.

On the other hand, I have mixed feelings about one of the G2 Stunticons being an exclusive. It’s fine if he has a new name, but that makes me wonder what will happen with the other 4. (I’m assuming the listing for Legacy Wildrider that @Jtprime17 mentioned might be G2 Wildrider, which would be great if true.)

Wouldn’t it be funny if next year’s commander is G2 Motormaster?

 

Just imagine the rampant hate that would spew from the "we need Armada Tidal Wave" crowd...

 

I am in that crowd but I would love it to be G2 Motormaster just for the laughs

 

Well we know that Hasbro watches these forums, here's hoping that they took our misassumption to heart and we will get a Shadow Striker in the future

 

It'd be neat but I bet they're gonna do something other than a repaint.

Maybe even Tidal Wave....
