My new deskbot came in today, and although it is the biggest combiner that I’ve owned, surprisingly it is not the worst (that honor still goes to Generation Toy Defensor (strictly combined mode speaking)).

Really gotta say @Madox003 that pose you have Dark Shuraking in is AMAZING!. I confess I'm plain and boring in my skills at getting a figure into a great pose. But its exciting and inspiring to see some of the pics on the boards by masters of this craft. Well done!

When I first saw the size of the box it came in and based on some of the reviews I saw online, I was doubtful I was gonna get him posed at all. That is the main problem when it comes to combiners, especially one of this scale. That is why my collection is slowly leaning more towards CHUG (MMC) and Legend (Iron Factory) scale.

But because Dark Shuraking is so imposing and beefy as a combiner, and that I was able to get a great deal on him on Taobao, I had to get him just to see for myself. Surprisingly, the rachets and shoulder connections are quite strong, and not as wobbly as I thought he would.

If you want to practice your posing skills, I would highly recommend getting MMC Optus Pexus (or it’s variants), and/or various Iron Factory figures. They are highly articulated, and their size and weight allows you to keep the poses.

Can I ask - was he MISP and if so, what did you pay for him? Is there ANY evidence on the packaging or the figures themselves that they're limited to just 500 units worldwide?

Yes, he was MISP as far as I can tell, all accessories and instructions were in sealed bags, though the figures themselves may have shifted around during transport.

I got him for 1699 yuan (around 245 USD) on Taobao, and I used CSSbuy as proxy to ship the figure.

Shipping was another 60$ simply because of the size and weight of the package. Thankfully, China eased some of their shipping restrictions and I was able to go with their economical air freight rather than the more expensive options such as EMS, FedEx, or DHL.

Other than the box print saying 2019, there’s no mention of the 500 units production run (but everything feels legit).

$245 - MISP - WOW!!! Thats an amazing price brother. I'd be tempted to pick one up for that price myself if it was on offer still. Shipping Down Under to Australia would cost a lot for the 5 of these guys in one big box though.

I know this is likely really off topic - but that circular lamp makes me wonder what it would look like with Dark of the Moon Optimus' trailer in its weapon rack mode or perhaps if you get a load of ramp bots in a circle to make a joke stargate - that could light them up.

I have the Toyworld Dinobots & the FP ones is it worth getting this one too do you think ?

Firstly, are you saying you're considering getting the set of Shuraking Dinobots - and if so; regular or dark versions? Is it worth getting comes down to do you want another set and incur the costs therein? GCreation have done an amazing job with their editions of Masterpiece scale/sized Dinobots. They're not prefect, and have their shortcomings to be sure. But they're good enough for me personally - to the point of not wishing to purchase another MP set by another company.

As I've said a few times previously - they seem to be a deliberate modern day homage to their original Hasbro versions - in MP size/scale. They're the Dinobots you had as a kid but with lots of neat features, articulation and play and posability. Everything you wanted from the originals.

    And they combine into Volcanicus.

The good thing for you @Max Tower is that all of them can still be found fairly easy - including the Dark Shuraking Gift Set. But there's one exception - they made blue versions of Slag and Swoop in addition to the original red. And Blue Swoop is impossible to find nowadays.

Or you could set it up horizontally to create a halo effect. I got the RGB version setup in this way on top of an electric turntable to display my Metal Build Eva set. Sorry for being off topic.

How would you rate the quality? I looked into getting this figure but was scared off by the lack of stability. I'm wondering if they fixed it with the dark variant.

I can only comment on the dark variant, but in terms of quality (and by quality I mean plastic and ratchet quality rather than the engineering of the combiner) I have to give it a 7.5/10. The plastic feels thick (even the purple clear parts), the ratchets feels strong, and some of the connections like the shoulders feels secure once you peg them in.

The weak points on this figure for me are the thighs, simply because there are many folding parts within them. And considering the amount of weight they are holding, I wish there was a part that would make the thigh thicker and more solid, even if it’s part forming. Also, I wish there was a bigger tab to lock in Snarl’s waist swivel.

Other than that, in terms of a combiner, I definitely think that this figure is imposing and would make for a great display piece. Also note that I have yet to transform him into the different modes and don’t think I would either.

In terms of stability, “A” stance is not a problem because of his big feet. But as a precaution, I’ve put anti-slip mat under the feet just in case.

If you are on the fence like I was, and if you can find a good deal on the dark variant, I say go for it just because I feel it’s the best representation of the Dinobots combiner thus far IMHO.

It took me almost four years, but he's finally got two blue arms, and a posse of other Dinobots. IMG_4643.jpg

For anyone out there looking to snag a TOTAL bargain on a brand new MISP set of the 5 G-Creation Dinobots, Bombusbee had a listing for them for just $255.99. Thats a little over the cost of just 2 of them! Not sure if this the final curtain for G-Creation - and Bombusbee are just dumping stock or not as a final close-out?

    【In Stock】 G-Creation Shuraking Set Of 5

But it they still had the purple boxed set - and it was at that price I'd be snapping up a set instantly.

    YouTube (Legacy):
@Magna Jet Convoy I can't see it being the curtain call for G-C...I think they did well with their Glock...I am going to side on "selling" organic plastic stock. (organic = getting more brittle as the years pass) :D
    And that's just me owning 1 G-C figure...so very little knowledge ;)

Yes very well said indeed @Atomic Tofu. I also hope the curtain is a very long way for falling on G-Creation too. despite the previously discussed shortcomings of this team, there's a LOT of positives to cheer about. As I've often said, they seem to be aimed at an audience that owned the originals from 1985, but wanted a modern day version that was upsized to Masterpiece scale and with all the articulation we've come to expect on all out current 3P figures. And I still say (despite the noted concerns} they make a great standalone combined figure too.

Keep in mind gang these guys have been around for considerable years now - and we all know how technological & engineering advancement have skyrocketed since their release. Especially with Cang and the big budget they've clearly been bestowed to smash Thunderking out of the park!
