I just hope nobody pays much more than UK retail + Shipping, because by all accounts he's very easy to get in the UK and plenty of board members have offered to ship them pretty much anywhere.

(Hint: that's about $60 shipped currently, but could go up or down depending on retail deluxe pricing and the cost of shipping, which will certainly increase this holiday season)

Remember also, that US retail exclusives--such as Earthrise Thrust--sometimes end up getting imported to US E-tailers from foreign markets. In those cases they are typically a bit less than double the original price, which would put Cosmos in the 35-50 range at places like BBTS, assuming they get a lot of stock.

This isn't the first time it's happened either. Like Hasbro is deliberately trying to piss off its clientele. And they're succeeding!

Probably retail price but even then 25 is quite a lot for a smaller deluxe with some being reported with bad right arm joints. (Mine included)

Honestly if you're buying one for over 60 bucks you might as well get a 3rd party

If I may ask, whats wrong with the right arm?

Mine is little loose and Id figure some polish in the joint might tighten things up.

I remember one person had is with the pin being crocked...so maybe that's it.

For me, I finally got my filler kit and so I took it out of his box... and for the price of this figure, I am a bit disappointed.

The kit was an absolute must as the pictures of his completely empty forearms was abrasive as heck so this was corrected and again, while I hate having to spend extra to complete a figure, at least it feels much more complete now.

My impression was that he feels like they used the harder and cheap plastic, I did not like the "ting" I felt resonate when I was getting his gun in hand and such. he gun's handle (5mm pin) is much too short, it barely fits/holds and... with the kit, it's worse as I "lose" about 1mm.

That aside, overall he's not terrible at all, I will even say that for a panic button shaped saucer it's passable, but what really feels cheap on the design is that his hands do not have rotation and I cannot wrap my head around that as he would be so much better for something so easily done. To omission of rotating wrists really drops a lot of point for this figure (especially for the expectations for a new mold of this quite desired character, that he's a deluxe, and it's increased price, on top of being an exclusive that's hard to get).

Oh well... For an interesting fact on the kit, the panels flip out and go under the saucer and I was trying to figure out how they would not flop down, and to my surprise, the panels were holding in place just fine, which I realized that they had put magnets hidden in the panels that connects to the metal pin's head of the legs, so that's freaking amazing to see such a smart design.

The cheapest I'm seeing on ebay is about $66. He was not restocked on Pulse today either.

Retail. I waited and Walmart came through. Patience is a virtue.

Found mine in store. The restocks are trickling in apparently. I was picking up dog food and there he was. I had found one previous with paint issues and passed. 2 other Walmarts had come and before I got there. I had given up hunting him too.

Paid $43 for a backup Cosmos at AliExpress and it came in today, 3 weeks early. Best case scenario, I sell this one at cost should my Walmart order actually gets filled. But either way, it’s satisfying to have one in hand and know its existence wasn’t a fever dream this whole time :lol

Why does it seem like most people(including me) find Cosmos when they're not looking for him?

I still think this Cosmos is the best we're going to get, and i'm really happy with him. It's true that he's easy to pick up here in the UK. I've sent a few on to various bot-hunting mates abroad.

I actually think the fillers make his arms look worse. Way too blocky.

Pretty much how it goes. I brought the extra to play reverse psychology on my own luck, because now I’ll bet anything next time I go to a Walmart there will be a cosmos on the shelf

I posted some time ago in here that the UK has a lot of stock of Cosmos with Smyths toy stores.

Now that the US dollar is close to parity with the (£) Sterling it means the previous figures I quoted would be more favourable for US collectors to acquire from the UK. Perhaps buddy up with some uk members to help get you this for your collection.

My local store still has 8 in stock.

The next nearest Smyths is 18 miles from me - takes 20 mins to get there and they have 15 in stock.

Across the UK there is still many that have stock:

    B941D08C-2FF6-4647-85A7-E2B29F5966EF.png
Many other branches. I couldn’t be bothered to screenshot them all.

The price of the figure is £25.99. I checked the shipping price from the Uk to the US and it was circa £30-35 for tracked shipping.

Whilst still expensive for a deluxe figure this might now be a viable option.

The UK Toy Discussion thread in this site you will find many UK members whom would likely help.

    The UK Toy Discussion

Incidentally is there any news to say that the US will be getting more Cosmos in?

If I was in the US I would hold out for more to come in. The price for deluxe TFs in the Uk when you can get them are pricy so importing Cosmos even at $40 is hard to swallow, let alone $50-60.

Fingers crossed for many of you that you can get the figure and not overpay.
