I have a question about Maverick...

Does anyone who bought at original release date remember roughly how much they paid for him and would they care to guess how much a re-issue would likely be if released today?

I paid around 160 USD. Not sure about how much a reissue would be but I'm expecting 200+.

I'm hanging on to these guys on the chance this set gets completed and actually combine. If they don't finish the set, I have really cool alt/bot modes. If they do, I don't have to pay the reissue upcharge + inflation.

I was some where between that, and in the 200 range.

    Good info, thanks.
It was to compare with the going rate/s in various online stores.

Unbelievable it was that cheap then. Now a carbot is just as expensive. 50% rise in prices.

Yea, it'll be between $250-$300 when it is reissued. Fans Toys FT-30A MAVERICK as an example.

Right?! I think I got Roadking for 150 USD or something like that. Probably bought from Baba with free shipping to the US. I hope once the world gets back on track, prices start to start heading back down. I don't think we'll see original MSRP, but sub 200.00 on torso-bots would be nice to see again.

Seems like all the reissues have been coming out at over $200 prices and been cut down to more reasonable prices.

Precisely. The market correction has already started.

When Dracula came out, it was at $150 USD at BBTS. When Chomp first came out, it was at $200 (some places still have him listed as such), but quickly came down to $160 at most retailers.

If Maverick came out for $160 initially, I would reckon $215 would be the reissue price, at first. Then you'd see retailers dropping prices to around $175.

@Marcelo Antunes I've been chipping away at this as a project for a little while - initial release price of FT figures as an index - but let me know if you've already begun something like this (I imagine you may have)!

Mav was 180 from TCP at release.
Pure speculation but 220ish today would be my guess.

Had the last 2 on pre order, but decided to cancel.
Even though the first 3 might come up for reissue, i don't think i really need the aerialbots in my collection.
I'm already in the waiting game for deadend, definitely want that set finished and thats already going to be an expensive ordeal
