Strika and Commotus are the 2 I need most for My Reformatted Collection, So hearing a possible Strika reissue is exciting.

Got him. Very much am enjoying him despite some design nitpicks. The tremendous headsculpt does an incredible amount of heavy lifting to bring the whole thing together. Without it, D-zef is a fine figure. You can definitely see some dated elements of an older design compared to more recent MMC releases. But with it? He's elevated to another level. No problems with the arm locking mechanisms yet.

The two biggest oversights are the clearance needed to get the space chicken head into the torso and having absolutely nothing in the way to lock the robot/chest assembly in place. The latter is the biggest sore spot since it's too easy on my copy to just pull the head and chest down due to the transformation hinge. Very uncharacteristic for an MMC design. There is a work around I have below but I think its different than what Lazy suggested.

How exactly do you lean the back of the dragon neck onto the robot mode collar? I've not been able to move the assembly to get it to provide any overlap. Instead I found that I can finagle flaps on the base of the dragon neck out onto the sides of the robot head platform. This holds a heck of a lot better than leaving it transformed correctly. Is this what you meant? Pic related:

Another interesting tidbit. D-Zef has the Ocular Max logo instead of the reformatted/MMC one. Hasn't this been the case for the last few reformatted releases too?

Loving this Deszaras, I wish there was an accessory that allowed for the Eaglebreast to perch or fly above it. It’s a very niche request I’m aware but it could be utilized for the OG version coming out later.

The base of the neck assembly has the two black flaps you've opened there that have a lip to them that juts out just barely enough to catch the edge of the robot heads base plate. Nudge things just right and you'll get a smidge of friction between those black parts and the base plate. It's a very weak point of pressure, but it's something.

Slide those two dragon neck collar pieces together and they form a tab that female section of the panel for the robot head slides into.
What's the upside to buying this used for the same price as retail new when it's still available at retail?

Thanks but mine doesn't provide any overlap with the back neck piece and doesn't touch the collar when closed. It tries to slightly catch but it slips into the gap instead. The flaps when open make a really solid hold so I'm just going to leave it at that for now.

I don't really understand what your response means (not saying it's what you wrote is just hard for me to visualize what you're talking about,) but thus is how it's supposed to look. No actual clipping/locking in place but it stays fine.

Arranging like you are supposed like in your photo doesn't help with holding head assembly in place if I am manipulating the head or chest. My copy might just have a loose set of hinges unfortunately. Mistransforming it like in my picture holds the base of the robot neck like a locking mechanism would.

Thank you for the clarification. That makes more sense and while unfortunate I'm glad that you found a solution that works..

Saving the good box art for the OG, I see!

Doubt I can swing it too soon, but I am very tempted for sure.

An amazing looking figure, as soon as I grow back the arm and leg I used to pay for MMC Carnifex this guy will be at the top of my list.
I wonder how he'd look in comparison with the upcoming Haslab Victory Saber.

Why wait? You still have the arm and leg on your left side, correct? You can type and eat with your tongue, right?
