EP Walmart has the usual Velocitron figures (so no Clampdown, Override, or Cosmos). They also have 2x SS Arcee and 1 SS Ironhide left (I took one).
Man the last 2days I’ve been stopping at hidden Walmart, Eagan Walmart and inver grove Walmart and restocked but no cosmos!!! Clampdown is at all 3 of them but only 1 each of them!!! I thought I’d get lucky but nothing!!! It’s really starting to piss me off!!! I’m just glad I’m on the list to get from one of you guys!!! But it won’t stop me from huntin for cosmos!!! Once I get him I’ll let you guys know!!!
My override and road hauler arrived today from pulse, haven’t opened them yet due to me being at the state fair with my cats.
Tons of fun arriving at my door step today. On the other end of the spectrum, TFSafari has Dr. Wu's Chatter in stock with the original toy colors. Fantastic little figure. And for $25 shipped he's just about where HasTak will likely land if/when they do these two in Core Class. Also...VROOM VROOM...
I have no idea how subbing works because I didn't suggest a sub and the one store that tried it did the Squirtle Evo set which is neither the same lot nor same price. So who even knows what they'd do if they couldn't find a given TF. My guess there is they'd pick a rando from the assortment? That said, once they subbed I just cancelled it immediately with the option "Item was substituted..." and got a full refund.
Pilot Knob Target had Elita (which I brought home) and 2 Wildrider as well as what may be a solid few cases of Hot Dog Man.
Is anyone looking for Blitzwing, or has everyone that wanted one got one at this point? I picked up an extra one here at Coon Rapids Target (also opened it to make sure it wasn't switched out as the box tape looked rough to me) just in case.
Edina Target has 2 ss Arcee, legacy Tarantulus, Legacy Core Shockwave x1, g2 megatron x2 and Optimus x2, 1 jhiaxus. Grabbed an Arcee and the lone Sideways. The Wilderider hunt continues. BBTS still has not moved my pre-order
Grabbed Tarantulus and one '86 Arcee. Still DOTM Bee and 1 '86 Arcee left, plus Core guys. ::EDIT:: Thoughts on two 'remolds' Tarantulus is fantastic. I really liked Kingdom BA, and this is a great evolution of the mold, to a point where it feels like a different mold entirely. The transformation is similar but different (and better) and he has this really nice chunkiness to him. It's just cool that with these 'remakes' of old figures, they managed to turn recolors into totally new figures. Top notch. '86 Arcee uses some engineering choices I've never really seen before. They're weird, but not bad. She's a much better execution than ER Arcee (the worst one), but still basically just backpack (just much better done). She also has some elements that seem borrowed from Nicee of all places, but I suppose if you're gonna ape Arcee engineering, that's the place to go (love or hate that design, it does a good job integrating the car mode with the bot mode despite the car mode still basically being decoration on the bot). She's kind of a pain to transform the first time, but it works. I wonder if the ER head can fit on her though, because the '86 one doesn't look great. I almost passed on this because it felt too similar to the t30 one, but the comparison isn't great - there are a few borrowed pieces, but much like Tarantulus, she's basically an entirely new figure. And better than the T30. For retail Arcees, she might be the 2nd best recent one, right behind Bee Arcee.
Went to three Walmarts and Three Targets today...aside from the Legacy Blitzwing I mention above, I didn't find any Legacy Deluxe wave 2 figures around here (mainly just looking for Wildrider) Walmarts...all three are CLOGGED with Velocitron Deluxe Blurr, Road Rocket, and Burnout, meaning they've gotten in a couple new cases of the wave and of course Cosmos was long gone...sorry those still on the list. I DID find one Clampdown figure hidden up above the shelves at one of the three Walmarts I went to. Not sure if someone tried to hide it badly up there, or just happened to get put up there cause the shelves are so full. He came home with me though as I enjoy the Sideswipe/Red Alert mold.
Probably a little of both. The Walmart's I've been too are so flush with goods they've had to set stuff *somewhere* to make up for the limited peg room. If I were "hiding" something I'd come up with a better place, but simply swapping it with another figure and setting it up there out of sight isn't the worst idea if you're young and inexperienced in how to squirrel shit away.
Knollwood Target has 1 SS86 Arcee and 2x jhiaxus and 1x legacy soundwave. Couple creature packs too. Edit: Both Elitas gone from Bloomington Target.
Eagan Target had the newest Studio Wave of Deluxes minus a Sideways I grabbed for @einhazard. Eagan Walmart has all of the Speedia Deluxes except Cosmos and a Scourge.
