I think FT needs to do a more hip durable 2.0 version of this.

 

What they could do is just sell an upgraded version of the hips, that'd be the best option in my opinion.

 

I started with Fanstoys (And they said they had parts). They've "sent them" twice now... once back in March 2021, and again March 2022. Never received them.

 

Maybe they can do both. Upgraded hips for FT-20 & FT-20G for current owners and an improved 2.0 version for those who missed out on the figure.

 

I seriously doubt they will ever do anything with this figure and I honestly hope they don't. They have so many unfinished projects they need to focus on. This big boy has run his course and providing spare parts for items that break a lot would be the best thing moving forward. My two cents.

Update. Showz was able to come through after all. Yes it was the terminus hips I was asking for but also had asked for a piece for koot. Koot was a no go from fanstoys but terminus was thankfully available! Thank you showz!

 

Isnt accelerator basically alcohol or denatured alcohol in a spray bottle?

 

I asked and paid for the hips March 2021 but they didn’t arrive. Emailed again in July 2021 and the reply was must be lost will resend. Didn’t arrive. I emailed again in March this year asking if they’d been resent and I was told they had been. Emailed at the end of July asking again and was told to pay another $10.

Getting slightly fed up by now, I didn’t send any more money but this morning the the hips and some screws turned up. I checked the tracking number and they were sent a week *before* I emailed again in this July so they must still have some knocking around. They might just be very forgetful?

Anyone know what the screws are for? Seem a bit small for TG.

China post is extremely slow, I got some parts through Fanstoys myself for omega and they sent them right away, email them yourself, unfortunately china shipping the way they send their parts is slow, I contacted them in January for a new leg for my rumble, I literally just got it 5 days ago in August, so it took 7 to 8 months to get the replacement part.

 

Showz was able to source the parts for me in the end. Never received shipment from
Fanstoys and they refunded me. Was waiting for the fanstoys ones for a year

 

I'm sorry about your frustrations! I had a similar thing but it was after 3 months they didn't come so I sent another message and they said they'd be sent right away. And about 2 weeks later i had them.

Now I will say this. I don't have a ton, but I ordered SEVERAL sets of hips. If anyone truly needs a set I am in PA and could have them to you quickly.

Just in case it's helpful for people keeping track, I ordered a set of replacement hips from Fanstoys on May 2, 2022, and received my package Friday last week (the 19th). I think a lot of the issues are as a result of the random whims of cheap China post shipping, so just kind of rolling the dice there.

 

Is it confirmed that they're making a 2.0?

 

No word at this time. Hopefully that changes at some point in the new future.

 

Is 2.0 a reissue or new design?

 

About 99.9% certainty, 2.0 will be brand new figure. Like Perceptor was  

 

Soooooooooo.....does anyone have a guide on how to replace these hips? I'm trying to disassemble the waist, but getting that thing apart is a bear and then some. I'm not even sure if this will work, it looks like in broke in 2 places, on the hip and a piece on the leg, but I'm gonna give it a whirl.

 

Where are you stuck? Can you shoot a pic? I will see if I can walk you thru this. It is a bitch for sure, but it is worth it if you can disassemble it.

 

I'm trying to get this piece off that encapsulates the hip pieces. It's proving to be quite a bear. I can see where the part is split by the screw pegs and on the sides, but cannot get it to come off.
