Now I’m sure people are gonna disagree, but to me, Fall of Cybertron was the first piece of media to properly utilize the Dinobots as characters and also the only media I think in all the franchises’ history that understood the potential they had. G1 Dinobots of course are the originals, and will always have a place in my heart, but the Fall of Cybertron Dinobots are the definitive version. Grimlock isn’t just a dumb barbarian, he’s an anti authority leader of a group of hardcore bots who gets a speech impediment from Shockwave tipping him apart and putting him back together in ways that are not natural. Swoop is friendly, smooth, and dependable. Slug’s design fucks, all he had to do was talk in his slightly annoyed baritone voice and look badass. This game also finally solved the Slag name issue, and as unpopular an opinion as this is, Slug is a far cooler name. Slug is the kind of guy to slug a random person in the face. Snarl also looks cool. Sludge is the biggest let down bc I feel like it could’ve made the game slightly longer and more satisfying if there was a mission to reactivate him. At least there were comics that confirmed he was alive and not dead, so he got to reunite with his team. I also just cannot get enough of their designs, modernized Dinobots that still look alien but also turn into dinosaurs that look like dinosaurs. Dreamwave and IDW did cool stuff with them but I don’t think it ever tapped into their full potential like Fall of Cybertron did. And somehow Hasbro dropped the ball hard and gave us only one Dinobot, who was poorly made. I had to rely on third party to do most of the game designs Justice. The trailer for FOC was the first piece of media I can recall ever being obsessed with. I’d replay it over and over and try and figure out the story or how they transformed, I loved every single bit of it. I still regularly listen to both trailer songs because they’re a part of me. The Dinobots were always super cool, but this game made me fall in love with them as characters

For the time being it’s just Bee and Barricade, but hopefully we’ll see more after those get some kind of official unveiling.

FOC truly was the peak of Tranaformers video games. I find it so odd that Hasbro has been trying to reframe itself as a multimedia giant, but has been neglecting the video game side of that so profoundly. The only TF games we get now are forgettable shovelware titles or pay-to-win mobile slogs. To make matters worse, any planned game with a hint of promise ends up getting cancelled.

Playing Wheeljack in "Escalation" with that sentry drone skill of his was my favorite.

How is it that for 10 years there hasn't be a new good Transformers game (Devastation excluded)?

Fall of Cybertron Optimus is the first Transformer I bought when I got back into this hobby after growing out of it in the 80s. I still really like the design, enough to pick up the Planet X version.

Mobile games are cheaper to produce, and more profitable (thanks to the thinly disguised gambling).

Console games are expensive, and they compete with Call of Duty, Fortnite, etc. It's very easy to get lost under bigger releases.

At the end of the day, while it may look like an art house that produces art, Hasbro would rather snap on wheels and make that extra buck, despite the valid fan complaints about diminishing quality.

Both games WFC & FOC definitly deserve a remaster on the new consoles! Best way to do it woul be inculde both story campaigns adding mulitpler campaign.

    - Escalation add all maps from both games & add boss fights

    - Muliplayer add all maps from both games

    - Add a huge Warzone stil map shrinking towards the end with monthly events

    - Finally have a year plan to release more DLC for the game

Sure it\'s a wish list but I don\'t think it\'s a dead game just yet have another company take over since Highmoon is busy with other Activision games.

I'd like a remaster of WfC with FoC characters added as add-ons because Escalation was vastly superior in WfC.

I'd also love a remaster of the Armada game too.

Loved these games! I've still got The Humbling River on my playlist song with The Everlove's cover of Cities in Dust and to this day I still get feels whenever they come on. Those trailers are some of my favorite Transformers media of all time.

That said, I had a lot of complaints about the game. The story was pretty good, especially compared to a lot of the more mainstream TF stuff but I feel like the Aligned Continuity really held them back. It's clear that the games were a love letter to G1 and shoe-horning the Aligned stuff into it was a real disservice. It's ironic, then, that I kinda wish Starscream were just a little bit more like his TF Prime self - egotistical and power hungry but not quite so one dimensional and incompetent. Loved the Combaticons segment and how they accomplished the mission in spite of Starscream but I wish they could've done it without making Screamer so freakin' bone headed.

Voiceless Bee - ugh. A completely different character who bears absolutely zero resemblance to the Bumblebee we grew up with had no voice and so this obviously G1 Bee is also missing his voice.

I didn't like that they killed off Sludge. This was clearly going for a prequel to G1 in spite of the Aligned stuff so having him just show up dead was dumb. Didn't have the budget to model another dinobot? Speaking of dinobots, I hated playing as Grimlock. The most badass Autobot and they made his level a slog by forcing you to walk slow with no guns and locking his transformation behind a power meter.

But enough of that. On to the good stuff. Playing as Optimus and commanding Metroplex! Hell yeah! Jazz fighting Bruticus! Press X to destroy Megatron! (And the satisfaction of repeatedly smashing him way more than necessary :D ) Also the giddy anticipation watching Metroplex rise in the background while Megatron monologs instead of finishing off Optimus. Playing as Bruticus which felt awesome even though he was a reskin of Grimlock (handled exactly the same but it worked for him). That last level with the switching sides and playing as all those characters! The ark just looking fucking beautiful! Shockwave voiced by the narrator from G1! I wouldn't say the game had the best gameplay but the experience was phenomenal and I went back and replayed so many times.

Perfect time to re-release on current consoles with multi player. Can't even run the campaign discs on current gen.

Armada was definitely fun I loved the Tidal Wave boss fight!

Also to note FOC was re-released on the new systems just not WFC and I didn't even know about it till it was discontinued from the virtual store. Thankfully I still own the physical discs for my 360.
