I hear that the Constructicons form Devastator, the most powerful robot.

Edit: and unlike starscream he didn't come back to life!

 

G1 Rodimus Prime for obvious reasons.
Runner up Movie Megatron... He's like a cockroach you just can't kill him he keeps coming back.

 

The Alternity are beyond comparison. It was like they were created to win schoolyard arguments.

They move between dimensions with ease, that's dimensions, not universes, which travelling between universes is nothing to them, they can even create them as needed whenever.
They shatter galaxies with a fraction of their power.
Their fights include tactics like having a shot go back in time and erase the target from the timeline so they never existed, trapping the opponent in a time loop and shooting them once, then the loop restarts and they get shot again, and again, for eternity.
For them, beings like Primus and Unicron are beneath their notice as they're so minor, only inhabiting a single plane of existence and dealing only in a set time of events.

From them, Alternity Black Convoy. He's a good guy, so they win at the end of the story, but unlike his brothers, he isn't afraid to get his hands dirty or take the lives of the enemy Alternity members and racks up quite a kill count comparatively.

 

I believe if the dinobots actually had brains in g1 they would wreck house but since they do not have any intelect. I would say megatron when he got the heart of cybertron in season 2 of the 1984 show, my reasoning is because this artifact made him so powerful that he tryed taking on all the autobots at the time not even thinking about the dinobots which I think are pretty powerful.

(Also just want to note real quick, would the ghostbuster/transformers crossover comic's starscream that destroyed cybertron count? I mean gozer made it but it was technically based on a cybertronian part for part but bigger)

 

You're projecting one iteration of the Dinobots on all of G1, and with that one that contradicts the abilities and characters that was established for them. It was only in the cartoon that the Dinobots were dumb. If you check the techspec cards on the G1 boxes you'd see that the Dinobots were, although not among the smartest, far from dumb. The same goes for the original bios that were written for them and which the Sunbow cartoon was supposed to use.

Of course, the Sunbow cartoon is also the only iteration of G1 in which the Dinobots were virtually unstoppable.


But still it doesn't matter. Because as pointed out by several, the Alternities are stupidly over powered.

 

Sideways. He’s effectively immortal and able to jump between dimensions at will.

 

Underbase Starscream

 

Thunderwing (2005 IDW). The combined efforts of both the Autobots and Decepticons couldn't stop him. IIRC, Primus himself had to intervene to stop him, which damaged Cybertron beyond repair. Not the most powerful I can think of, but definitely a standout. [Transformers: Stormbringer - 2006).
