Not a missed opportunity at all because the customer has me doing semi-realistic beast modes and original characters, not some obscure thing that was only seen in beast mode in the background for a few seconds in a cheap rushed Japanese spin-off anime aimed at small children that lasted less than one year, had a toyline almost entirely made up of repaints, and wasn't even successful enough to get a dub in any other language. I know they also put it in a japanese gameboy game back in 93, or something like that, but I definitely don't feel like I missed an opportunity for not making this goofy bastard... Sorry, but a few people have mentioned this (one VERY aggressively on my facebook page) so I feel like I should go ahead and explain why I didn't make this silly character that not many people even know ever existed instead of sticking to what I've been doing.
Thank you! Almost everything I ever post here is commissioned work, and there is a link at the bottom of all of my posts to get info on my work.
Hah, probably came across that way but I don't hate anything Beast Wars related. I never got to see BWII or Neo because back when it was airing it was hard to get a copy of, and wasn't dubbed, but I did get the Leo Convoy and Galvatron toys, and I loved those figures. I just worded my comment that way because some guy on facebook was being pretty negative about me not making Star Upper. Basically told another guy his opinion was wrong to say my kangeroo work was better than a lot of what Hasbro puts out, and provided a really long bullet point essay on why he was wrong and why my custom was not as good or marketable as it would have been if it was Star Upper. Oh, and also why my work wasn't really very special because I just sculpted it over an existing Dinobot figure. So I just wanted to be clear that I am aware of that silly character and have no regrets on making what I made, especially since that's what the boss paid me to do.
I was planning on doing something like this with T-Rex Kingdom Megs... How the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks did you do the remoulding, though???
Your sculpting is always so cool! Did the robot head start out as a cyber battalion optimus or am I just seeing things?
Damn, I wish I had your talent and skill, this is awesome, thank you for sharing your creation with us
I love this. But now you have to do a BWII-style cyborg version, like from this 80s cartoon. Spoiler: Definitely real, vintage 80s cartoon.
Thats a really crap experience, sorry you've had to deal with that. Just remember: people like that usually can't do what you do, and are jealous for it. I hope the amount of positive people here on tfw show you that your work is bloody brilliant, can't wait for whatever comes next!
