No, I was referring to the sword and alternate chest pieces shown above, which seem like something that should've been included, along with a flame breath piece in every box that doesn't currently have one.

And, assuming that I actually want to buy every dinobot is incorrect, and hardly something I am sure I am going to do, as the only one I have on preorder now is the G2, which I don't even think needs the leg covers, much like the Marvel edition--WHICH DOESN'T HAVE A CROWN--and the Shattered Glass version that I am also eying.

I agree. Maybe it's been repurposed from the Studio Series 86 Grimlock, which also, inexplicably, all the SS86 Dinobots are missing their swords.

 

It’s weird usually I prefer the Dinobots with swords but the G1 Dinobots since they didn’t use swords minus Snarl and 1 scene with Grimlock It doesn’t bug me.

 

Realistically, you can't expect them to include every single accessory that's possible for these figures. Its not like they're Takara. I'm just happy with what he already comes wit anyway, especially the fish. Lol. To be fair it's perfectly normal to assume that if someone buys grimlock, they're probably gonna get the rest of the dinobots.

 

I hear ya, but I'd prefer a sword to a non transforming Wheelie.

But, to get back on track, the additional sword for Ymir isn't as big a deal to me as the replacement chest pieces. Even just one or two alts would make a big difference, most particularly for the base Ymir, and I'm not a huge fan of the green on the Marvel comics version, either.

I expect better, especially seeing as New Age keeps raising their prices.

And, again, due to the obvious differences in production scale, New Age can add a few bucks for those alternate chest pieces and missing sword or flame breath, while I expect EyebrownEye's accessory sets will at least cost $10 but will probably wind up being around $15 or $20, assuming they actually are going to offer it for sale.

Admittedly, it wouldn't move me enough to buy H44, but it would tempt me more for H44C.

Also, that fish doesn't do much for me. Well, that's not true: it makes it more curious that H44C doesn't have a crown.  

Finally, I think someone buying any of the rest of the Dinobots will probably buy them all, but Grimlock would be the exception that's most likely to be bought as a one off.

I disagree. The crown is a pretty big deal for comic Grimlock, so its omission is baffling, especially when so many Grimlock figures include it - it's pretty much become a standard accessory even for non-comic decos. The sword thing is a little more tolerable but trying to use the same flame effect for a flamethrower and a sword resulted in a sword that doesn't look very sword-like and a flame effect that doesn't like very flame-like.

And I don't think it'd be unusual at all to buy Grimlock and no other dinos. In both the cartoon and comic, Grimlock was the dino with the most personality. The rest of the dinos were practically just accessories for him (though they did have a little more personality in the cartoon than in the comic). I will buy all of the toon dinos but probably only Grimlock in the ex and comic decos.

Funny I'm on the other side of the fence. This Grim is good, but my DX set I liked better.

 

Their boxes are so nice it feels like a crime to open them. I just got the standard Grimlock and now I have to order a second to actually open.

 

I want to see that comic color version in hand.

 

Well it is going to be my first NA figure, that is how much I liked the EX version.
Will get the entire team from them, got comic with red swoop from MFT and will wait for a blue swoop team set from MS.
Hope IF will finish them as samurais.
4 different sets would be enough I would say, so I do not need any recolour or g2, this collecting is getting nuts.
