If I didn't already have the Tim Heada set I would hope they are going to colour match the white parts to yellow because they look really off IMO.

Here are my missiles on Scourge. One looks a bit bent, but I think that's partly because of how it's seated in the 5mm socket, and anyway the bend makes its trajectory look a bit more realistic.

 

Decided to splurge and get some of the Dr. Wu DW-TP05 swords after seeing a number of listings with relatively lower prices on eBay. These look like the more common DW-P35 swords but are made of metal instead.

Two of the TP05 variants are on the left compared to the P35 variants on the right. The TP05 swords are a bit shorter but much heavier. The chrome finish is well done despite what the camera may show. The jewels are glued on. The handles are a proper 5mm fit. The TP05 swords, outside the jewels, are one piece, whereas the blades are removable on the P35 swords.


Due to the weight, many figures may have difficulty posing with the sword, if at all. So, keep that in mind.


Overall: Like the swords a lot despite the price. Weight is going to be a factor when in use.

What are the best upgrade options for a G2 Siege Sideswipe? I’m late to the game and it seems the nonnef one is long gone (a shame since it’s the only one I can find that’s not 3D printed). I see all kinds of them on eBay…

 

At this point, your best option is likely the Matrix Workshop kit for the weapons and bandolier.

Go Better made a spoiler kit specifically for the G2 Siege toy. You can still purchase it from TF Safari. They also make filler kits (for the open forearm and inner thighs) for the standard Siege Sideswipe and Red Alert toys which will also work for the G2 version (although the shade of white may be off slightly).

 

If you have TR G2 Optimus Prime or better yet, the Chaos on Velocitron variant, the sword that comes with it is perfect. Heck @wheeljackfan16 a straight up recreation of it in blue and red (not necessarily translucent) I think would fit most people's needs.

 

Nu-RID Bumblebee's sword lends well to him too.
I'm surprised to see someone selling Matrix Blades in metal I thought they all dried up years ago in terms of availability.

 

They've been on ebay for a long time but decided to finally buy some after seeing listings with lower prices.

The fansproject sword is an option for Scourge although no 3p offering with clear pink / fluorescent red blades will match the intensity of hasbro's pink.

No that’s just the lighting in that room right now. LEDs around the edge of the ceiling and I set the color wrong. The room is blacked with black cardboard curtains out and there is uv filters on the windows.
I need to make a dedicated light box to shoot figures in. I do it often enough. Using my desk is looking too cheap for the size of my collection.

 

Go-better needs to get off their asses and do Road Hauler, its a straight recolor
