As far as I know, ONE guy broke his. Also, it's a different scale and price point so comparing the two doesn't even make much sense.

 

That foot kit looks great! Is it still available somewhere? The double cannon look works well too.

The osKO stuff or just regular MPM.

Bee and Barricade to be more specific.

 

Who scale better with OS stuff, but are close enough for regular MPM scale too. Basically this figure scales fine with any MPM-style figures.

 

Well... as far as I can tell or have been told, mpm Bee, Jazz and Barricade are either too big or all the mpm are too small. I think mpm Ironhide is kind of off on its own too. There are kind of multiple "scales" going. The cars and everything else. Generally for me, so long as it tis in the ball park, I'm not making a big deal. I don't have any os mpm. Just a mix of official, a few 1:1 mpm ko and some os leader class / studio series. But, I do have NA Mista and it does appear to scale correctly with mpm Bee, Jazz and Barricade. So that is all I can really comment on.

 

Yeah pretty much. Since MPM3 was chosen as the standard for 3P stuff, and not MPM4, we got huge figures instead of smaller figures, but it means most of them need to be replaced to get proper scaling. Regardless, this soundwave fits fine with any MPM or KO or whatever.

 

Here are some comparison pictures of him along side several car bots (BMB Barricade/Bottle Neck, OS Dino, Legendary Toys Bumblebee, DX9 La Hire/Hot Rod, and BMB Sideswipe). I didn't include Peru Kill cuz he towers over them, but if you want a comparison picture with him too lete know!

 

well, technically peru kill is barely bigger than hotrod although they are similar alt modes so i think its still fair to include comparisons with him

 

I'm not sure "barely" bigger is an accurate description, but here are a few more comparison pictures  

 

Plain and simple, the official carbots, dx9/ut, and everything else in OSKO scale.

 

Yeah, as long as Prime is bigger than Ironhide and Ratchet, and those two are bigger than the cars, I'm fine with a sliding scale...

I pulled out Soundwave and transformed him from car to robot yesterday. I love this toy so much I set him up by my work station today. Usually I won't play with a toy two days in a row like that. He may be pushing Le Hire as my favorite toy...

Ah that may be. It's been a while since I transformed them. The only other comparison I could find was from Emgo and itsy not the best angle.

 

Thanks for all the feedback. I guess since I'm a G1 guy at heart, I'm used to Soundwave being a bigger bot, not a shrimpy little guy. So the fact that he is half of Shockwave's height seems a bit off.

I'll probably grab this figure and just see how I like it. What the bayverse did with the different characters and sizes can be a bit confusing so really appreciate everyones opinions.
