Digibashes and, "quotes of sarcasm" aside I am really excited for Deadend and the whole stunticons. Seeing pictures of these in hand definitely change my opinion of these figures. I was originally going to get the cw limbs and 3d print some adapters for the arms, however seeing what that looked like was weird. Very excited to add the stunticons to the collection

But then it would be an exclusive, and you’d have people complaining that they can’t get one, don’t want to buy the whole set, “why didn’t it just come with the deluxe?” etc.

A big set of accessory figures isn't inherently a bad idea. It would work for dinoforce shells or the monster pretender shells. But making a big set of every targetmaster as a tiny articulated figure would be ridiculous

The more I see of Dead End and Wildrider the more it bugs me how very different Dragstrip head appears. Cartoon, cartoon, old school Marvel GOD DAMNIT!!!

Ehh what harm could reading a few pages be.

B-but he's smiling at you when you look down at him. Why would you want to get rid of that?

    Dead End smiling.......now that's a bizarre concept......

Wasn't talking about Micromaters or Pretenders, I was talking about accessories. Micromasters and Pretenders are hitting the highest they've ever been, but I don't think the bar is high enough. Totally different than a decline with them(well, except for the whole stopping MMs at Earthrise thing, I guess)

Omitting accessories and neglecting to release them in accessory packs doesn't make much sense to me, and IMHO, it seems tied to budgeting constraints.

No. Immediate yellowing was not an issue around 10-15 years ago. I doubt it was ever an issue.

Dont get me wrong, I mostly agree with your post. but QC is at its absolute worst right now.

Not to gang up, but while yellowing is new, these days do we get figures that are so floppy they're unusable? I had a handful of those as a kid in the late 2000's and EARLY 2010'S.

Could be wrong though. And could've just had shitty luck.

You’re describing the Wreckers subline perfectly.

Ah, forgot about those. Point made. Springer was shit for some from what I've heard. And Spindle.

I think my biggest string of defective figures came in during the Prime War Trilogy years, really, so I think it depends on personal experience and is not as simple as "worst QC era". But to each their own.

Clear plastic is being overused to reduce production cost while increasing fragility, there's been issues with Cosmos's shoulder cracking on top of being a hard to find exclusive, the R.E.D. line needs a list for itself, tolerances and issues with stress marks are common, some figures like the Tracks mold don't even hold together, misassembly is a relatively common issue even on Commander Class figures like Motormaster

I’m sure this has already been pointed out but it’s ironic that Hasbro had to resort to using the Japanese name Blanker because they probably lost the trademark for Pointblank, and then TT turns around and calls him Autobot Pointblank. Of course from their perspective he’s a Western release and also clearly based on his appearance in the Rebirth.

i legit hope the R.E.D. line just ends. there is objectively no reason for it to exist when figures with mainline counterparts not only transform but are much better figures in every way. cant get why hasbro is still trying to push it

Definitely a welcome update, I may just end up making an alternate toon head out of T30s Nightbeat, and call it a day...although the new head sculpt is not bad, and is definitely growing on me.

Theres no clear plastic on Cosmos. Dunno how people have been cracking his shoulder, mine took a nose dive off the cabinet due to something else falling and hes totally fine

Gotta wonder if Spindle isn't already a victim of mold degredation given how many iterations Paloes been through already.

No, it's being used to produce transparent windows on alt modes.

The reason it seems "overused" is because they can't mold the windows as their own piece and mount it to a piece molded in the other color without adding to costs of the figure (see Override as an example of a figure who actually did it to have transparent wheels without having transparent hinges). So now they mold the windows as part of the larger alt and then paint it to match.

HasTak must think people want transparent windows more than painted ones. Because doing that would potentially remove transparent plastic altogether in most figures.

At least nowadays though, unstable figures are usually just because of loose joints due to mold degredation. Back in the earlier days of CHUG and Movie lines lots of figures simply were not designed with balance or poseability in mind at all and due to a combination of poor weight/kibble distribution, small or oddly shaped feet, and, yes, loose (often ball) joints, some figures would be almost impossible to get standing on their own at all and others would have maybe one or two semi-stable poses and could still be knocked down if you took too hard of a step halfway across the room.
And some of us definitely do.
