Nice, but I still want to be able to position the foot to the left or right for stability. Gluing the purple part will negate that.

Maybe your break is different than mine.

On mine the two halves of the crotch, which was previously held together by two screws, broke, with the posts shearing off.

This was the swivel around that big peg on Scrapper's torso.

I had to glue these two halves back together, keeping all of its movement as a joint intact.

Was your break different? Wouldn't surprise me, as this guy's plastic isn't very robust.

    BEWARE!
DO NOT get the glue/accelerator on your skin!!!

It AIN'T regular superglue... It'll BURN and then stick like an MFr!

I would be wary of using superglue accelerator. These used to be freon, but with regulations, they are now generally made from acetone, toluene and other non-polar solvents.

These types of solvents eat right through paint and can craze or otherwise compromise plastic integrity.

Yea, totally agree. Too toxic for toys and your skin. Ouch!

Ok. So I am finihed. My idea worked fairly well. I used a torx screw (my favorite). I think any will do. I prepped the holes on both ends with a drill bit so that the plastic would not crack with just putting the screw in. If this happens to you it is trial and error. You have to find a length that will do the trick. Of course you need a cutting tool like a dremel to take off the head of the screw. Then you need some small pliers to insert one end of the screw into one hole and then the fun begins as you toy with the overall length and how much off the screw goes in each hole so that it is nice and snug with the foot facing forward. Now of course I am not messing with his foot too much now because I am sure the plastic will wear with too much friction from the screw. The good thing is it is fully functional and his foot can still rotate. YAY!!! Oh wait...One more fix to do. A small locking tab came off. There is a small plastic piece that broke off that holds the tab in place. Too small to glue so I will use Fixit sculpt to mend it. Should work well. That stuff hardens like a rock once dried. And that white stuff you see under his feet is Elmer's tack. Not as good as the orange stuff Elmer's discontinued. Bummer. Their orange reusable tack was bad ass. Why they killed that product is just silly. I did find some stuff at Macy's that IMHO is a 99% match to the original orange tack made by Elmer's. Link is below. The white stuff is still pretty good and keeps him well stabilized on my display table. FYI

Feedback on the seller isn't great... 67 pieces of feedback, not one where you can see the item sold (even the ones in the last month), and a negative that's not exactly an endorsement for the seller. For someone new, that's not something I'd jump on

As David says, not inspiring much confidence in that seller. They have sold a lot of one item which we cannot see what it is. You could ask eBay what item #1111111111 is…

If you were to buy the TW Constructor from this seller, you won’t get any after sales from them. Hard enough getting any reply from TW.

I wouldn’t buy from this seller. I wouldn’t want the cash tied up in a dispute. Something looks off with this seller.

I’ve got Jinbao OSKO Grav Builder with the Liketoys upscale kit. I have 3 of the TW constructor set but can only complete that if I buy them from Taobao using a third party agent.

I do have the first member of XTB Devy on PO. If I was you, I’d go in on the XTB Devy and/or get the Jinbao set in the interim period.

I have a few things that worry me. One is how many items he's sold and the claim about it being unopened is a bit dubious thanks to one of his feedback comments. I'm also not thrilled he has private listing. That's not necessarily a red flag but it's definitely not ideal. You also have to be aware and willing to fix it if it breaks because you'll have no way to get parts for it from Toyworld.

So i'll say if you can afford to roll the dice and potentially be without the money in case you get scammed and have to dispute it, then go for it. But be very prepared for the possibility for it to be a scam.

Personally I wouldn't go for that deal because I couldn't risk having to sit on or lose the money.

Yeah I think it's not worth it. I might as well wait for another company to attempt it

I don't know if this is appropriate or not, but since you all helped suggest how to repair a Toyworld Constructor I've owned, I've put it up for sale here in my thread: soundwavin sale/trade/want (G1, Siege, Earthrise, and newer)

If it doesn't sell soon, I'm likely to part it out to recoup some of the cost. Thanks!

Your Long Haul did exactly what mine did. All the screw posts in his leg ripped apart. How well did the JB Weld fix hold?

Question, how would you move the leg/hips of Constructor? It’s tight .

Leverage, grip him above the knee and support the pelvis. You should be able to move those tight joints without too much trouble.

Apply the silicone oil to the joint, I personally use 350-400 cps type. About 5 minutes later, you should be able to move it.

Man I've read 250~ or so pages. I don't think I'll ever get through the the entire thread. As far as I can tell most of the later versions seem to have worse material, tolerances and hardware so I should avoid them like the plague.

Seems like the best options are gonna be the V1(original individually boxed bots?) and V2(first original boxset) in terms of build material and quality with the V2 having the lead and also having the Green thighs and G1 head.

Anybody have an V1 individually boxed bots have any issues with pieces breaking? What were some of the issues with the V1 that were fixed with the V2? How has your V1 held up throughout the years through transformations, posing or at this point noone even dares touch them?

Ok I'm a bit fuzzy on this because it's been a few years but here goes:

    -V1 lacks the "lat fillers"
-it also lacks heel stabilizers for Long Haul
-IIRC, it's the only one with the 'cobra' head
-and in theory, it had less strong plastic than V2

My personal experience is so far no breakages with V1. I haven't transformed it in a pretty long time, but I do get it out to pose once in a while--as recently as a few months ago, no issues. I think at one point the combined mode hip ratchets seized so I needed to take them apart and oil them and everything worked fine again.
