Where did you order the trident?

 

hm, it was unlike me but I decided to pick up Toon and IDW and not EX this time around. Mostly because I didn't love the tampos in alt mode, but now seeing the flat finish, I have to say I much prefer the vibrant metallics of the first two releases. Some of it could be the lighting of the photos of course, but even the NA production stills feel a bit blah compared to the bling of the others.

 

There are a few listings on eBay but I grabbed mine from this listing.

Will someone please take pictures of him (any color) next to some TR deluxes? I'm curious as to just how far off the scale is.

 

I'll try to grab some tonight. He is pretty close to deluxe height but he will look "small" compared to them. Smaller hand holes. Smaller head.

EX came in today. NewAge nails it again in my opinion. Only thing that bugs me is the tampo on top of the cockpit canopy. Pretty sure on the original toy, those stickers were supposed to face the opposite direction. Not too bothered though. Love this toy.

 

are you REALLY sure??? i think it depends on which "kid" you ask.  

 

I'm really not lol. Just always thought the points on the cockpit should go the same direction as the ones on the wings. I dunno maaaan.

 

I don't remember how the decals went when I was a kid, but the Legacy redeco has the stickers shaped to have the points go the same way.

And now I'm going to see this one as backwards for all eternity.
