Yeah tbh it seems like the Star Wars team sorta doesn’t know what should actually be a Haslab project as well as don’t time it well. Ironically if they waited a month or so the rancor probably would have funded. Meanwhile for Kenobi? Some sort of prop like a Vader mask or something else from the show that isn’t mixed in terms of reception would have sold better. (Like the ship maybe?)

A Rancor certainly should have succeeded. It was surprising how it was brought down in that the decisions they made on cost and add-ons were so peculiar.

Yeah, i think so for the Rancor. The Boba Fett episode could have helped a lot the campaign, maybe with some special remands to that episode (I dunno, a saddle or similar).
It's looks like they doesn't know what to do, or Disney is imponing something.
The third sister is not really a popular character, and yet they went for the double lightsaber.

Seems like it's just the Black Series they're missing the target on. Both TVC HasLab's were stunning successes, even if the Sail Barge was slow going, being the first project overall.

Is it still possible to get the separation kit and extra wings for Haslab Unicron? I might be able to get it for $700 but only considering if I can split it up.

I put in a preorder for this separation kit in March and haven't gotten anything yet. I'm assuming he's quite busy, and it looks like he doesn't have item open for new orders currently

Following up...I saw he just posted on Facebook that production of the kits is up and running again! Once he finishes the current list of backorders, he'll open the website up to new orders

if you can get one for 700 i suggest you jump on that deal instantly. even worse case scenario you can turn around and sell it for 1500+ all day.

    just my 2 cents.

Ditto. It is a great figure and a worthy centerpiece of a collection. If you can get it for just above retail I would

I'm still bitter about the maw colours. Yes, I know. I'm a huge whiner, blah blah blah. Sorry but it's not acceptable to me (my opinion). I bought an airbrush a year ago to fix the maw myself but I haven't managed to get the courage to paint it. I only saw bot mode once when I first got it. It's been in my display in planet mode ever since with that multi-coloured maw front and centre mocking me every time I look at it. :)  Looking back at the promotional pics just makes it worse. The planet mode is so close to perfect it hurts. I love that perfectly spherical shape and the shades of grey and orange they went with. I don't regret buying it and I'm not selling it, but I will most likely not ever participate in a HasLab again. It cost me $930 CAD with taxes and shipping from Hasbro and the butthurt is too great. Hopefully the complaints about this has taught Hasbro to be more careful going forward with these projects. I'm not paying attention to the Starsaber HasLab at all but I hope that one turns out perfect and as-advertised for anyone that signed up for it.

The maw color doesn't bother me as much as you but, I totally understand your complete frustration. Hasbro frequently does lazy things like that which get on my absolute nerves. And it's only getting worse. Now we get laziness plus incredible price increases.

Thank you for the sympathy! It is appreciated! In this case I'm convinced it was a factory screw-up that was not caught because of the pandemic travel/shipping restrictions. Hasbro could never admit to such a screwup because then they would have to do a recall or something. I just refuse to believe that someone made a decision, on purpose, to not paint that area. Especially because they did paint similar areas on the sides and even the rear of planet mode. That's what makes it so frustrating. I would have gladly taken no paint on the rear of planet mode if that paint could have been used on the front instead. I also think it could have been a tooling issue. They can only fit so many parts per tool and they may have had to switch some of the orange parts to the grey/blue tool. It's also very suspicious that they never did a big show-off of the final deco and we didn't even know about the change until customers in Asia started getting it in hand.

Anyway, I'm done complaining. Please carry on! It is still really awesome having that beast of a planet mode in my house. People are never prepared for how large and heavy it is in person. I do wish the bot mode more closely matched the original concept drawings, but I completely understand the change there. The panels would have been too thin and fragile. I think that was the best call to make and I'm sure it was hard for the designer to accept. Oops, I'm complaining again! Sorry! OK I'm really done now. :)

I disagree. This wasn't a factory screw up. The gears that in the maw should have been molded in yellow and not blue. That means when Hasbro did the mold layout they decided to add those to a blue mold probably to cut manufacturing cost. At that point if the gears are blue what's the point of even painting it. Like you I'm still upset by their decision to change the final product.
