At this point, I feel like the only reason this movie hits theaters is because Ezra Miller has a family member of WB's upper management held hostage and at gun point.
I have a feeling this movie will be the last current DCEU and will end with Barry running and restarting a new DCEU, that's why they are still releasing it.
Some people will see it out of curiosity, but a lot have probably forgotten all the bad press with everything else going on.
Sure, but I can imagine someone like Michael Keaton sitting down for an interview, and talking about how he’s excited to have returned as Batman, only for the interviewer to ask about Miller. They’re not going to be able to do press for the movie since the lead actor has literally done so much crap. Especially now that Batgirl is cancelled, now they have that PR disaster as well.
Or before the journo's are even allowed in the door, they're informed that any questions on Miller are not allowed. And if they do ask they're thrown out. AKA they'll just censor anything about it.
Ezra has been slacking on his crime spree. Good to see he got a second wind. Somebody should make supervillian Ezra Miller Bingo.
Isn't he in iceland with his cult? As for dc they could always rename it "Batman flashpoint" and focus the ads on keaton. Death on the nile kind of did the same things barely showing the main character of the film!
